[ she is true to her word, making her way to the cargo bay of the Tourist as quickly as humanly (or inhumanly, in her case) possible after she turns off the feed. it's here that she waits patiently for the dwarf, making sure not to touch any of those boxes while she's there. ]

[ clearly he needs to get to know her a little better, because if he did he would know that she would never slap him — and might not even find such a compliment anything but. alas, he will still have to learn that much it seems. ]

They are meant to be a little tight. [ they're also meant for people with breast which, if varric hadn't notice already, she surprisingly lacks. the corset will at least push what tiny things she has upwards just a little; accent them if he does it right.

she laughs, a little louder than her normal quiet chuckle. ]

Perhaps, but I am not worried. All you need to is tighten them a bit and tie them, then it should be perfect.

the elf is silent for a few seconds longer, waiting patient and still while he tightens the laces on her back. when they seem sufficiently tight enough to hold the dress up without her hands cradling the fabric over her chest, she drops her hands and glances back over her shoulder. ]

That will suffice, thank you. [ and with that she turns so he can get a full view of the dress, the elf, and what skin she now bares because of it. ]

[He ties the laces and drops his hands back to his sides. His eyes widen as she turns; she looks more fabulous than he could've expected.]

[ she's going to hope that wide-eyed stare and the accompanied 'wow' are signs that he approves. it's enough to have her flustered again, cheeks bright with color as she turns her head downward to look herself over properly. ]

Perfect. I believe I will be able to work quite well in this. [ she will definitely need to get better shoes though — those worn out boots certainly don't go with the rest of the outfit. ] Does it fit the standards of your business, then?

[He is trying not to ogle her because he doesn't want to be creepy, so he clears his throat and looks away after a moment.]

thankfully his question provides a momentary distraction from her ever-growing embarrassment, her eyes shifting down to the boots on her feet. probably one of the... two pairs she owns? she's not good at shoe shopping. ]

They look a little beat-up. I mean, the bar is glued in fifteen places, so I can't really say it's inappropriate. But, if you want something new and nice I can make some arrangements.

Well, sure. I'm not suggesting that you get rid of them, but sometimes getting new things can make you feel better. I know I always feel a little special when I wear a new shirt.

[ her jaw remains slack, like she's ready to continue giving reasons why she doesn't need any new shoes — but varric pretty much tells her to shut up and accept it with that last statement.

she sighs. ]

Very well. Thank you. [ a bow of her head, her eyes meeting varric's as she rises. ] I will have to repay you somehow.
