The Way to a Blue Fish's Heart...
Who: Blue Fish crew and visitors
Broadcast: Maybe some accidental, but not overall
Action: The Blue Fish kitchen
When: All Day, Feb. 7
[It had been a rough month for a lot of the Blue Fish crew. From blenders to family members and lost friends and blocked credits, they'd been soldiering on through a lot. And while Jilly was new enough to have skirted by most of the drama, she was keenly aware of the underlying stress of her crewmates. She wants to help.
Sometimes, though, words aren't enough...and so she sets about taking advantage of her augment to the best of her ability. For the past month she's been collecting recipes from the datary and experimenting with the supplies provided by the Atroma. And, in the days leading up to the 7th, she quietly recruits Beverly for a pair of extra hands with some Station grocery shopping and behind-the-scenes planning.
It's not announced, but on such a small ship it's hard to miss that something is going on that day. Forgoing her usual trip to the Station for job hunting and people watching, Jilly gets up extra early and sets the kitchen in motion. Recipes are taped up on the cabinets, ingredients are gathered, and so begins a marathon of food.]

[Between the combined forces of Jilly and Beverly, the two "cooks" for the Blue Fish will be setting out food all day as a bit of a much needed holiday for their crew (and any visitors who stop by). Volunteer as a taste-tester, grab food on the run, help clean dishes between baking bouts, or simply sit and relax with your crew mates. Food therapy is a go.]

Re: yes, good
[ Ah, how the minds of the politicos work. Kirk had something of a head for it, but then he had to play delegate part of the time, even as a Captain. But not so much of a head that he wanted to rise to far up in the ranks. He liked where he was, after all, and was content. Like her he believed in charm over brashness and rudeness, though there were some cultures that favored it. It could make for some odd conversations, to say the least. Oh, she really is quite pretty when does that. But he has to smile at the way she plays it. He's been around enough women to know when a woman was doing something on purpose - mostly. ]
Haha, only a little. But it's always a pleasure to see someone enjoying something. And as luck would have it, chocolate comes in all kinds of flavors and combinations. So you can experience a lot of firsts with it.
[ Judging from the way she had comported herself, he didn't think a handshake would pass as appropriate on an introduction, so instead he offered a little bow at the chest. ]
Captain James Tiberius Kirk, at your service.

she smiles at the bow, rises to offer him a curtsy ]
Margaery of House Tyrell, what an honor to meet you, Captain.
[ she sinks back to her ship ]
This must be very familiar to you then; I envy you. I know so little about this manner of scenery.

[ He's surprised at the curtsy, actually seeming a little flustered by it. He's never had a girl curtsy to him before. As far as he knows it's almost purely an Earth form of courtesy, and it went out of fashion a long, long time ago. But she does it so elegant, makes it look effortless, and he has to admit it's rather enchanting. Like watching a princess. Maybe she was one, by Earth standards, since he had no idea of the political rankings of her world - if she had any. ]
I have to say it's me who envies you, Miss Margaery. I remember my first time being on a ship - you never get to experience it twice, and the first time... well, the first time is always special.
But I shall do my best to answer any questions you might have. I promise, space is not quite so scary as it seems.

[ she grins a little, evidently happy with herself. ]
to have met someone who knows so much of such a scenery. tell me, do you think we shall ever see land again?

So it seems. I can't say much for the others, but Beverely Crusher is good people.
[ He thinks she's a resident of the ship, as he can't recall her saying different as of yet. And while Beverely is new to him as well, she was Fleet, and that counted for a long to him. ]
Haha, don't worry, I'm sure we'll come across a planet soon and we can properly stretch our legs. We've found a space-station after all, and those are much harder to run into.
