MEANWHILE...

[He's a Canadian Bub and he just woke up on the Marsiva. With all the shit that he'd been dealing with lately trying to track down Romulus and deal with his demented son, he might have handled this whole being in space thing a whole lot worse. Instead the feed opens with Logan standing in front of the viewing bay with his hands in his pockets and a less than pleased expression written in his features.]

Damn. Space again.

[It wasn't like he went into space all the time, but he didn't especially enjoy it. He could be seen tapping the glass gently with the business end of one metal claw protruding from his wrist. Well, he sure as hell hoped there was someone around who was a better pilot in zero atmosphere than he was. Besides, at least he couldn't see Galactus out there.

Later when the feed cuts off, Logan will try getting past the visitor's area of the Marsiva by trying to cut a path through one of the walls with his claws. Unfortunately besides making some very unpleasant sounds, he doesn't seem to succeed in cutting his way through. Too bad.]

[She hadn't been thinking when she dropped Magneto's name, but it does click that he doesn't react to it. That sort of makes her feel better. Relieved. She's so used to people jumping in with how he's the worst. She may not agree with every call he makes, but he's still the one who brought them all together at least where she's from.]

You know it's not like my actual powers suck, and I can fight with anything. [Just herself even.] But I was actually thinking of rebuilding them. I did it a couple of times in the prison.

...I was in an prison for about a year before they brought me here. Same kind of deal. No reality show or space ships, but a sudden abduction and inability to leave.

[Different Kitty or not, there's enough papa bear instinct in him to find reason to scowl at the notion of her having to spend a year in a prison cell. Logan has spent plenty of time himself in situations like that. But he was built to survive that, with the years extra to keep on living.]

Who was it that did it to ya?

[Are you being protective? That's really... She doesn't even know what to do with that, but she likes it.]

We never figured that part out. AI wardens ran it and engineers built them, but I think it went higher than that. I was leading a team of inmates to try and find a way to overthrow things. But now I'm here.

[It's actually the prison she misses instead of home.]

[AI Wardens. Go figure. Why it always AIs that seem to manage to find a way to screw them over?]

Any chance there's a connection?

To this place? I've wondered that. Back there I'd heard a couple of other people were from similar places and I was almost sure they were connected. They even mentioned some of the same things like a dome around the place. [She tilts her head.] It wasn't a normal prison.

And here lots of people have places they'd been to before but more differences than similarities. I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe.

[So, this is one of many places. And people keep getting shuffled between them. Not a comforting notion, but not the strangest thing he's heard. Don't mind him as he starts to shuffle around the visitor's area. He's hoping to at least find some coffee.]

So it looks like there's some of the team here. Ain't from my 'verse, but it'll do. Where do I meet up with ya?

[She's pleased he wants to meet up with her and maaaaaaybe even a little secretly pleased that he's not from their world. She was feeling a little odd-man out. Even if it has been great to see them all.] You won't be able to until they send you out to a ship. I'm on the Windrose. But then I can either get to your ship or we can meet at the space station if we're still docked there.

Well ain't that just a bitch. What am I s'posed to do 'til then?

[This visitor's bay wasn't exactly the height of entertainment.]

I was only on the Marsiva for about a day before they pulled me out. I think for some people it's closer to a week. So, I don't know. Mess with people on the network? [Fun for the whole family?] Apparently downtime is a big thing here. [And she's not good at it either.]

Never was much good at downtime. [He huffs, because while he could probably use a good rest and some time away from the field, he's simply not ready for it. He might have worked out a lot of his past and dealt with it, but he ain't yet close to making peace with all he's learned since M-Day. Not by a long shot.]

What kind of people we dealing with here? Them locked up with us.

You're not alone. [She's always preferred to keep busy. She didn't necessarily mind fun downtime, but she needs goals to be working toward. And too much time to think turns into too much time to miss things that she's never getting back.]

A mix. Some people have powers. Some don't. Aliens. People from the time of blacksmiths.

Everyone I've talked to has been friendly. [Some of them were guarded or on edge about arrival, but no threats or attacks.] I also recognize some of them from the prison, but no one has remembered me from there.

[So medieval fair, aliens, superheroes, and civilians. That's a hell of a mix - kinda sounds like home.]

Don't remember you? How's that? You ain't that forgettable. [he means that in a very fond way probably.]

Thanks, Logan. [Amused and this feels easy despite him not being from her world.]

Different versions of them. Different timelines. Maybe memory erasure. Hard to say.

[She isn't sure she wants the answer to this question, but she's going to ask anyway.] What's your Kitty like?

[Huh. How the hell does he answer that one? He ain't been ever the type to go heaping praise on people, even under the best of circumstances. But he ain't gonna go throwing shade against her either.]

A smart kid, she deserves better'n this life she got dragged into. [Fourteen was too young to be dragged into the X-Men. He sees that more and more these days.] Got the damndest thing when it comes to Petes, though.

Petes? [There's a quiet pause.] Like Piotr?

That's one of 'em. [Don't go asking him to name off the rest.] Seems like yer familiar with most of the usual faces, though.

[She wants to ask more about Piotr, but she holds it in check for now. It's really just emotional abuse she doesn't need right now.] I don't know if they're usual, but Remy, Rogue, and Kurt are, or at least were, all X-Men where I'm from. You too.

My world seems to have some significant differences from most other X-Men I run into.

[Yeah, he gets that roster. It makes sense. There's plenty more - but they're not here to be counted just yet.]

How different we talking here?

Most of the world is uninhabitable or under Apocalypse's rule. [So, you know, there's that. It's kind of a downer.]

[He growls lowly. He's had Apocalypse as his own dance partner a few times and even served as one of his Horsemen. In fact, it was the very reason he even had this current set of Adamantium attached to him. To think that fight would have been lost...]

How long?

He'd been working on it a long time. [But much of it was in the background, amassing forces. She had some time to be a self-centered kid without realizing what was coming first.] Complete collapse? I don't know. Five or six years ago maybe. [But she tends to draw that line around when Chicago fell the first time.]

[Complete collapse.] Ya manage to take him down?

We...had a plan. I was pulled into the prison before it was complete. [Before she died.] If the wardens were telling the truth then it...did what it was supposed to do.

[The plan was a lot like saving the world by destroying it. She doesn't talk about it as openly as some of the other things.]

Mm. Good. We've had our run ins with him. They're always close. Too close. But he ain't had a lasting win yet.

[But Apocalypse was no lightweight villain. He was one of the big ones and any notion of ever having to deal with him was more than any X-Men took lightly.]

Rogue mentioned they'd had a brush with him too. [The thought of him just being around, but held in check is so difficult for her to imagine.]

Is Xavier alive where you're from? [It's a name that meant little to her before the prison, but he's been an important figure for every X-Man she's met since. She even met him. A young Charles Xavier only on the cusp of assembling a team.]
