MEANWHILE...

[He's a Canadian Bub and he just woke up on the Marsiva. With all the shit that he'd been dealing with lately trying to track down Romulus and deal with his demented son, he might have handled this whole being in space thing a whole lot worse. Instead the feed opens with Logan standing in front of the viewing bay with his hands in his pockets and a less than pleased expression written in his features.]

Damn. Space again.

[It wasn't like he went into space all the time, but he didn't especially enjoy it. He could be seen tapping the glass gently with the business end of one metal claw protruding from his wrist. Well, he sure as hell hoped there was someone around who was a better pilot in zero atmosphere than he was. Besides, at least he couldn't see Galactus out there.

Later when the feed cuts off, Logan will try getting past the visitor's area of the Marsiva by trying to cut a path through one of the walls with his claws. Unfortunately besides making some very unpleasant sounds, he doesn't seem to succeed in cutting his way through. Too bad.]

I've got no idea. But I swear, there can't be more'n a dozen truly obnoxious people on board. [And she's dating one of them.] It's bizarre. But it was like that in the last place I was too.

Luceti. There were wings an' mad scientists an' spirits involved. Plus - war. Definitely wasn't as peaceful as this place. Had its downtime, though.

Angel style. But smaller an' a heck of a lot more useless.

[Still slightly bitter over walking around with a giant vulnerability on her back for five years, thanks. It probably didn't help that her wings had been broken, shot through, and torn. The fleet was much better for her overall health, it seemed.]

[He thought that maybe it was just some general oddity of the world. But imagining Rogue with tiny Cupid wings... well, that was worth a chuckle cleverly disguised as a grunt.]

[Oh, laugh it up. She rolled her eyes at him.]

Everybody had the wings. [Grumbled:] Took me a month ta get my proper balance back after showin' up here.

Must've been there a decent long time to need that.

[The important thing was that he never had to imagine himself with wings.]

Five years, give or take. [She pauses, considering whether or not to inform him of his own Pokemon themed wings, but decides his presence in Luceti wasn't really a complication this conversation needed.] A lot happened.

[As it would tend to, but hopefully he'll be able to take that as code for Not a Lot of It Was Good and I Have Been Changed by the Experience without her having to go into detail.]

S'long time.

[His own team had all been put through their share of trials, but five years was a long time. It did a lot to define a person. It was something to remember anyway.]

[Wasn't it like that with every war he'd been in? There was always a few people that he left behind. People he missed.]

[Now that's a loaded question. He'd been back at the old Howlett Estate, still standing even after all those many years. A little piece of his old life that stubbornly stuck around.]

[Romulus is trapped and while Daken might be free, he's at least dealt with. That was a long road to walk, but it's behind him now. He'd been looking at returning to the team - but a space adventure would just have to do in the meantime.]

[So this is awkward now. Anything that has to do with Logan's past pretty much is, but she's not sure where her place is supposed to be in relation to him right now.]

Ya got any other questions for me?

[She still needed to figure out what she needed to know from him. If anything. He might not be her Logan, but he still was who he was. Even if he wasn't who he was to her.]

Nothin' that can't wait. [A pause as he considers. He's curious to know what she can do. He knows her power set back in his world isn't all her original mutation. Is this Rogue still sporting her stolen powers? A question for later.]

Find me at that big station out there, once I get off this one.

Plannin' on it. [She tilts her head to the side slightly.] ...just so I know how deep this rabbit hole goes - you an' the me on your world, we're...

Friends. Team mates. We've been doing this for years now.

[Maybe there'd been some spats in the past... maybe that one time some aliens messed with their minds and things temporarily got frisky. But nothing they'd not been able to put behind them.]

[Wasn't much there about - well, the special trust he held. Didn't really need to be. Friend and team mates - that was enough.] I'll look ya up down here. Eat what ya can on the Marsiva, food's worse on the ships.

An' here I thought the food on here was bad enough.

[Well. Figured it would only be getting worse. He'd adapt.]
