If these Atroma people can control life and death, we've got a bigger threat on our hands than we anticipated.

What's their deal anyway? This can't all just be for kicks...

We get paid for 'appearing'. People get free stuff that isn't always useful or wanted.

[He scoffs.]

But I haven't seen any direct proof of the audience even existing. I'm sure it's just some half-baked excuse to make us feel better.

Yeah but what's the motivation there for making us feel better?

[Wouldn't it be just as fun to watch them all suffer under the knowledge that this was all for a few sick individuals enjoyment? Not that suffering under the knowledge that this was for a lot of sick individuals enjoyment was any better...]

Easy. It's so we don't turn against them-- or each other.

[It's done a surprising job of working so far, but he's still pretty sure that everyone is going to want a piece of Atroma should the opportunity arise.]
