[ There comes a time in all young vampires' lives when they venture out into ~~the world~~ space(??) on their own and start their own path. For Sascha that happens to be a rather impromptu trip to the SS Bloodsport where he knows he'll find the same grumpy, canine-smelling hunk of a man who'd lectured him on the space station only a week or so prior. How?

Because Bigby made sure to engrain it into his head before he left him at the butcher's.

He's been kicked out of a few beds by now--but not all--and it's enough to make him wonder if perhaps he ought to try a more familiar approach: that mean sneaking onto said docked ship and following his nose on board. Come out, come out, Mr. Big Bad Wolf.

It's late enough; the occupants of the Bloodsport should be tucked in for the night. ]

[Under the chin is allowed. On the snout would not have been, but under the chin is nice enough that he won't smack him for it. His nose is wet and a bit cold where it brushes past Sascha, but he doesn't try to shove it against skin.]

[Said without opening his eyes. He likes behind the ear. And Sascha probably will too, it's one of the softest parts of any animal.]

Right. You don't sleep well without someone else there, do you?

Ah, really?? It's okay?? [ Bigby you just made his day. Night? Either or. Sascha's more than happy to switch from fussing over his side to moving over past his muzzle and cheek, back towards his neck until he can stretch and try to find a good angle to run his hands over the indeed, incredibly soft fur there. It's like the fake stuff they make toys out of, only better. And warm.

He's all smiles in no time. ]

I don't really... It's super-lonely to wake up alone! Besides, it's always nice if there's someone warm and full of blood nearby... --Ah! But no biting, promise! I behave!

[Bigby moves into a better position for ear rubs. Big, soft, hot ear covered in thick, soft fur. He gives a low sound of contentment.]

Kid, I lay odds you can't get through the fur to skin.

[He's a snow weather wolf. That pelt is insanely thick and difficult to get through.]

Feel the cold, huh?

Uh-huh... I'm not "cold as death" yet! That comes after I mature. [ Which he says despite Bigby's nose being able to tell the contrary. But Sascha speaks genuinely, fully expecting it someday. ] I'm still young enough to want food and a warm body beside mine late in the morning♥

[ But he will try to accept that challenge, slowly trying to work his hands deeper into the mess of fur...but Bigby's right. He's not even going to get close with how fine and thick that coat it. ]

[Yeah. He has no idea. Bigby will bring it up some other time, because right now, it's nice to see the kid just happy.

So ridiculously happy over such a simple thing.]

Nothing wrong with food and a warm body.

[ There's a lot of simple pleasure in life he's never had--or doesn't recall having--so this? This is nice. Incredibly so, to the point where he winds up leaning against the large wolf a second time as he continues to scritch and scratch as best he can.

The softness of Bigby's coat is more pleasant than any bunk he's crawled into on the ships yet. He smells warm, like body heat and blood and all the sorts of things Sascha likes. There's no hope of getting to skin with his small fangs through that thick pelt, but he doesn't mind that. He isn't hungry, and it's so wonderfully soft he can't help nuzzling it a little. ]

Does that mean I can stay for a bit~? I promise to keep scratching your ears♥

[It has been a long time since Big allowed anyone to sleep with him.

It's been a long time since he was able to just be himself, though. So he settles in, getting comfortable.]

You can stay. You can even sleep here. This time.

Really?? [ It's like he's been promised a pony for Christmas or something when Sascha perks his head up, bright-eyed and keen. Bigby couldn't have made him happier even if he'd suddenly revealed a blood fountain for him to feed off of for the rest of all eternity. ]

Yes, really. If you keep asking, I'm throwing you out.

[He would, too.]

[ He does not doubt that for one minute. So Sascha shuts up and makes a pleased sound instead, giving him an eeeeextra long scratch before he moves to kind of hug the side of his massive head a little. Just because.

Then whisper: ]

I'll be super-quiet.

[ Not like he's being right now, when apparently even shutting up means he keeps talking at reduced volumes. ]

Don't care if you talk. Just don't make me repeat myself. I said you can stay. Means you can stay. This time.

[He's not in the habit of repeating himself. Except to Jack. You don't want to be compared to Jack, Sascha.]

[ Nobody wants to be compared to Jack, let's be honest. ]

And what about next time...? [ Is he allowed to make a return visit if he brings beer and smokes as a peace offering? ]

[Bigby doesn't really drink beer.]

Bigby sighs slightly.]

So you want to come back again.

Well...yeah. I've never been this close to an animal before! It's really nice. You're pretty nice too. [ For a giant sheriff of a wolf who keeps telling him not to act like an idiot that is. Like Sasuke has told him, his standards are low. And that isn't unfounded. ]

[Unlike many, Big has no problems being called an animal. He is.]

They can sense your hunger. It scares them. It doesn't scare me. I could eat you whole and have room for a meal.

You can tell stuff like that?? [ Colour him impressed. And a little confused as he pulls back, holding a hand to his stomach. He doesn't feel particularly hungry at the moment. Maybe it's an instinctual thing. ]

No wonder you figured me out right away, haha.

... you were eating raw fucking meat by the handful, it wasn't fucking hard to work out.

[It was a bit of a give away, that.]

I couldn't help iiiit...! It was everywhere! And it was fresh! [ How was he supposed to be able to resist all of that Bigby :c ]

[He will teach it if it kills one of them.]

Okay!♥ [ Happiest night. Of his. Life. Whether he's saying okay to what Bigby tells him or he's just thrilled to be able to scramble his way up there is debatable, but he will get right to work and he practically thrums with delight, working his string hands into thick fur a second time. ]

Anyway, I got fired pretty much right away after.

[Big settles in more. He carries the slight weight easily and makes a low, chuffing sound that means he likes that, please continue.]

Not surprised. I would've fired you.

[ Sascha would be so proud if he knew what that noise meant. ]

Hehe... My bad, my bad. Good thing I've got a small appetite. I never have to eat that much. [ Compared to other Newborns who are hungry more or less all the time and can't keep themselves on track if they could remember to try. Add in the teething and it's just asking for a human-shaped mess. ]

[He has a small appetite... for something the size of Bigby.]
