Who: Loki
Broadcast: Everyone
Action: Paisley
When: Right now!
[Action]
[Guess who just shows up to breakfast one... afternoon? Loki emerges from his office, looking for all the world like a man who has just woken up from an extended nap, barely open eyes, trying to stretch his back and shoulders, the whole nine. He wanders into the kitchen, fumbles around until he makes himself something hot and dark enough that he can pretend it's coffee, and stares suspiciously into the cup before drinking.
Ugh, his mouth tastes like someone glued one of Thor's feet to it. Ugh. What possessed him to sleep like this...
(Guess who has no idea he's been missing for weeks~)]
[A bit later: Broadcast]
[Awake now, and... well, he looks amused. Which is to say as if he's planning on flaying someone alive.]
Why yes, I have returned. Hide all of the party favors, lock up your sons and daughters, cancel the pedestrian fireworks displays.
A funny thing, missing time. You'd never know it was gone until someone tells you. Has anyone else fallen victim to such thievery?

[Food's done! Here, have some quasi-synthetic beef stir fry. Not the most glorious of meals, but it tastes alright.]
action;
[Distracted by the food, Loki starts picking through it as is his habit, looking for the interesting bits.] My thanks for this. [Mom did raise him right, and sometimes he even remembers.]
action;
[He's a man of action - or an idiot peasant, depending on who you talk to. His reading skills are very selective about content.]
You're welcome for the food. Speaking of, um- I'm fine with it, but just FYI, don't feel obligated to eat with me. I won't be offended.
[From what he's seen of Loki, he has an obscene amount of pride and confidence, like, all the time. It feels wrong to coerce him into interacting in a moment of unsettled weakness.
Not that he's complaining, of course - it's interesting conversation. But as a fellow loner, the offered escape route is practically an obligation.]
action;
[What an odd thing to say.] Were you planning to breakfast by yourself?
action;
[He shrugs his shoulders, digging into the food. If Loki doesn't care, there's no point in pursuing the subject further.]
Oh, right, I almost forgot. Are you any good at making money?
action;
[Now that is a change of topic.]
When the mood strikes, yes. Some times more easily than others. Why?
action;
action;
Well, if I have a bit of seed money, I can make quite a bit easily.
And if not, nearly as easily.
action;
[Quite literally.]
action;
Smirk.]
'tis all numbers.
action;
[He's aware of the trick, though he's never tried it himself. His skills lie more in reading the game itself.]
Enjoy shopping, in that case. There's some interesting stuff on the station. Maybe you can even buy books.
Re: action;
Books, perhaps. I might like some clothes that wear more nicely than these.
action;
I found a few shops for that, too. They have some nice options, though you have to make sure to check for extra sleeves. A lot of it is alien-wear.
action;
action;
[He cannot blame you at all, man. He hates it too. Almost never wear it, these days.]
I didn't look too closely, but there's definitely a few places that'll take orders. I was tempted to get myself a coat done, actually.
action;
Worth doing, if you've the money. Clothing is the story you tell others of yourself, after all.
action;
[And he'd been thinking that less flashy clothes would mean standing out less. Hah.]
action;
Have you a lady you wish to impress?
action;
[He already has a lady, and if he ever impressed her, it sure wasn't because of his clothes.]
I got into the habit of wearing black all the time because it's boring and should've made me less noticeable. Instead I wound up with a reputation as that guy who's always wearing black. Suddenly everybody knew who I was.
[Well, okay, getting a unique skill and dueling the best player in SAO didn't help, but still. People knew. Super aggravating.]

[Replace "country" with "world" and he'd be spot on, really.]
I'm not the only one who did it, but it was one more thing that didn't win me much in the way of friends there.
Re: action;
action;
[Counsellor or not, he doesn't talk about SAO. Not with people he barely knows, anyway.]
Short version is I went for a visit and took a while to get home.
