Red Fish assemble!
Who: Crew and visitors of the SS Red Fish
Broadcast: Nah
Action: Aboard the good ship Red Fish
When: End of February--Beginning of March?
[why is it called the Red Fish when the place looks more like a spiky dungeon than anything having to do with aquatic wildlife? no one knows.
it might be an unconventional atmosphere for socializing, but the lovable crew of the Red Fish isn't going to let a little thing like that stop them from bonding, are they?]

So seeing it in disrepair is not really that surprising, when she walks into the cargo. She walks over to her new crewmate who is obviously struggling with her task. The language might be foreign, but swearing is pretty universal in tone and delivery.]
Need a hand?

I haven't sewn since I was a child.

[But she takes the needle and thread, before kneeling down]
I know an easier way, if you'll permit me?
[It's not Asuka's punching bag, but it's just that it seems polite to ask before using magic on things in front of people. You never know how anyone will react.]

[There's reluctantly accepted help, and then there's fixing her own damage for her. One's more easily accepted than the other. Asuka shifts, brushing back her bangs in a brusque motion.
I should have done it earlier.

[She puts the tip of the thread in her mouth, wetting it to keep the point fine and then starts to poke at the tiny opening in the needle.]
It was bound to happen. This thing gets a lot of attention.

I didn't think the food here was that bad.

[She gets that thread through and pulls it so the needle moves a fair ways down. Then she offers it back.]
There you are.

You could stockpile food from the places the ship stops.

I'm so used to food spoiling if it's kept too long, and I never learned how to cure. It's just habit to only bring on what can be eaten before it rots. Guess it's time I start changing that.
