[sara awakens with a gasp, shooting not just upright but to her feet and reaching for -- coming up empty-handed. she frowns, dropping her hand, and pivots on her heel to take a good look at her surroundings. this is...different. once she's convinced there's no immediate threat, she searches her bunk for what she knows is missing, and eventually notices the open feed on her communicator. there's a brief moment where she eyes it sharply, then clicks it off.

we were trained by the league; no prison can hold us. it's what she wants to say, but when she turns the feed back on ten minutes later, she seems more relaxed; some people might recognize the tune she briefly hums.]

So, [she draws out the word: sooooo] what's a girl got to do around here to find a little company?

Oh, just that there are people from all different realms here. Some with magic, some with... other abilities, I suppose. Some are human, and some really aren't.

And there's the crowding.

Well, it was at the point where some of us were having to sleep on the floor. There's a new ship now, I think, so it might start getting better.

Where'd they get a new ship? I didn't see any Ships R Us stores around here.

Don't ask me; I'm not even sure how they keep all these things afloat in the stars.

[it's not like they can just get ships out of thin -- she wasn't about to think thin air.]

Space travel isn't really my forte either. I have more experience with aquatic ships.

[most of it terrible, but eh.]

I've never been on the regular sort, either. I mean, I probably will at some point, but I'm sure I'll get seasick. Do you get seasick?

[no, she just tends to ostensibly drown as they shipwreck. her luck is terrible.]

No. But I don't like ships much. You aren't missing anything.

I don't imagine I am. I prefer dry land under my feet.

So, any luck with the company-finding?

Plenty, on the network. I'm not so lucky up here, but I hear that's temporary.
