...Oh, the being a secret thing. [ Baw. ] I think...it's a good idea. Telling a lot of people about me only made them angry in the past.

[beardstrokes]

Very well.

[ It makes sense, pragmatically. ]

You may sleep here tonight, but I don't know if we should make a habit out of it.

[pneumo]

How come...? You're really comfortable. [ And nice to him, and apparently have endless patience. It's actually pretty impressive. ]

[beardstrokes]

[ He hesitates. While he doesn't suffer from nightmares like Anakin does, his sleep has always been a little rough around the edges. Years of war, living out in the open and so forth has made him a light sleeper.

And there are names he would keep secret, names he might call out in the dark. ]

I may not be the best person. For one, I don't sleep very well. I'm rather restless.

[pneumo]

I don't mind stuff like that! I'm used to being kicked and hit and stuff. [ In Bed? In his daily life? Who knows. ]

[beardstrokes]

Sascha, that's not something you should get accustomed to. And it's not fair to you, whether you're used to it or not.

[pneumo]

But it's still better than having to sleep alone... [ Sascha's actually willing to do and put up with a lot of things if it means not being alone. ]

[beardstrokes]

Still, I don't think I am the best . . . fit for this.

[ Physical contact at a vulnerable state . . . seems inadvisable. He may not have Sasuke's instincts, but he has deadly ones all the same. ]

[pneumo]

Just once! If its no good I won't ask ever again, I promise! [ Please dad pleeeeeease he'll drool on you and your pillow Obi, beware ]

. . . All right.

[ It goes against his better judgement. ]

We'll try it out.

[pneumo]

[ If it's any consolation Sascha at least looks positively thrilled, making a pleased noise as he flops onto his back and then curls in the Jedi's direction. ]

Okay♥ I'll be on my best behaviour!

[beardstrokes]

I'm sure you will be.

[ He does mean that. ]

[pneumo]

[ Someone who believes in him...Sascha's touched. And heavily endeared by those words, smiling brightly and grinning. He doesn't have large fangs to speak of; they're the same size as human eyeteeth. But they are sharper, and so are the one following. ]

Hehe~ What time do you wanna turn in then??

[beardstrokes]

You go ahead. I'm going to meditate first.

[ He'll need it if he's sharing a bed. ]

Okay~~ [ He doesn't make move to tuck himself in anywhere other than kicking off his shoes and rolling over into his stomach, watching the woefully patient Jedi with unveiled interest. ]

I tried that once and fell asleep.

[beardstrokes]

You do tend to fall asleep easily.

I'm no good in the sunlight...hehe. It always puts me right to sleep. [ Instead of, you know. Immolating him. Which is nice. ]

[beardstrokes]

I'm not surprised.

But why do you want to sleep now, when it's your time to be awake?

[pneumo]

Well...this is when you'll be asleep. There'd be no point if you were gonna stay awake. [ He's willing to lie in bed and sleep when he doesn't have to if it means being next to someone. ]

[beardstrokes]

[ Loneliness. A familiar emotion, yet one Obi-Wan wasn't fully accustomed to. In a way, he's never been really alone. He's always had someone nearby. Qui-Gon, Anakin . . . Satine, Cerasi, Bail . . . No matter what path he has taken, someone was there. It did not matter if they were there for him.

Here, he was surrounded by people. Anakin, Ahsoka, the Sunriders . . . Kanan, Leia, Luke.

And he still feels alone. ]

I won't be long.

[pneumo]

[ What Sascha wouldn't give for any of that. To have people he could remember, could recall as friends or family... Or to even have had any of those at all. The humans who'd found him when he first awoke are long dead along with the village they'd lived in. The vampires which had picked him up after had all been hunted or succumbed to sunlight.

Sascha is...was alone. The Fleet has people who don't want him dead and gone simply because of what he is. They let him talk to them and hang around with them. Sleep with them.

It's a dream come true for someone like him. ]

Okay.

[beardstrokes]

[ He settles himself on the floor, crossing his legs and closing his eyes quietly. Inhale, exhale. He lets his mind aflutter, emotions slipping away into the Force. ]

[pneumo]

[ And Sascha will watch, eyes half-lidded for the moment and posture relaxed. He isn't poised for anything, but he does wish Obi-wan could do this in the dark. It would be much more comfortable for his eyes. ]
