Who: Robb Stark & People at the Blue Fish and the Vanquish :) (and some closed logs)
Broadcast: n/a
Action:
When: backdated 28th of February to the 1st of March
Action – The Blue Fish
[Anyone who wishes to drop by is welcome to do so. Robb has sent a polite message to everyone on the ship with the question if they are interested to learn to shoot with the weapons available on this ship.
He has cleaned up one of the cargo holds to create a sort of shooting range, the targets all made from scrap iron. All he truly knows of shooting ranges are those in Winterfell and Riverrun. Made for archery practice instead of shooting with these space guns. Still, Robb figures that it must do for now.
He decides to wait for a couple of hours, slowly chewing on a piece of bread. If no one should come...well, at least he tried.]
Action – SS Vanquish
open
[Robb does not like to fly these small ships and it shows in the way how it shakes and wobbles when it approaches the ship. It also shows in the way he docks the tiny ship and how he stumbles out of it. Space is something he can understand a little, weapons are also not a problem, but flying, no...Robb Stark is not made for flight.
A sigh of relief escapes his mouth when he sets foot onto the vessel, glad to feel something solid underneath his feet again.
Not every ship is the same, he knows that by now and he enters it slowly, calling out to someone who might hear him.]
closed to Hermione
[After a deep nod he smiles. He is not sure if he truly wants to learn magic. His wolf dreams are already one thing he does not wish to go into, but actual magic...it makes him feel a little uncomfortable. Yet, he does not want to decline such a kind offer. Lady Granger means no harm. She is kind and warm and the color of her hair reminds him of Jeyne.]
Let us start at the beginning. [He hopes his voice sounds neutral enough. That he is able to hide his wariness. She is not going to harm him but it is not for a king to become a sorcerer. His men would turn from him. They would whisper worse things than ‘half wolf-half boy’.] Or you can show me first. [And then he can decide to politely decline or not.]
Action – Closed to Dany
[Now his chambers aren’t the most neutral place for a conversation like this and he has been fussing over whether he should don his crown or not. Or the clothes he came with. For once he wonders if all of this has a place in space. And, of course, there is the worry that they are recording everything. They are watching his every move because, apparently in modern societies, it is something amusing and entertaining.
So without crown and without his Westerosi outfit he waits for her by the docking station, sometimes moving his fingers through his hair or touching his chin to determine he has stubble there or not.]

action;
She wore a simple white gown, made by her own hand with thread and fabric she had purchased. It wasn't the most elegant thing but it would do. She preferred it to the standard issue clothing they were given upon arrival. It took very little time for her to find him as she ventured from the Caprine. Her hair was styled in a simple plait that fell down her back, smaller braids woven at the back of her head. It wasn't easy adjusting to a lack of handmaidens or her Queensguard, but she was learning. She hadn't always had them to begin with. When Dany finally spots the young Stark, she approaches with some measure of hesitance. Up close he was tall with red-brown hair. He carried himself with the same nerves that she did, she realized.
We are not our fathers. Amends and arrangements can be made....
At least, she hoped that could be the case.]
Lord Stark.
[She addresses him as she moves closer, folding her hands in front of her as if she could somehow protect herself from anything negative about this situation.]
action;
But here she is. In the middle of space between futuristic ships. A young girl with silver hair who claims to be of house Targaryen.
A formal smile appears on his lips when she addresses him.]
My lady. Welcome.
[She definitely looks as if she could be a Targaryen. The history books told of silver haired kings, queens, princes and princesses and the dragons they rode into battle. He offers her his arm before he starts to walk.]
I hope your...flight to this ship has gone smoothly?
action;
[However riding on the back of a dragon was a great deal bumpier. It was a bit more freeing to be able to see the other ships and to move between them. She'd worried she would feel like a prisoner in this place, and yet they were allowed to come and go as they pleased.
His offering his arm to her was a surprise. She'd expected him to treat her coldly, as an enemy might expect to be treated. Instead, he was being kind to her. Perhaps she had misjudged his intentions?]
I have never been to the other ships in the fleet, save for the Caprine where I am stationed and the space station itself and the Marsiva.
[It had been out of fear of being vulnerable that she remained so close to the Caprine. Her crewmates and captain were all wonderful people.]
action;
Well, Robb has been raised properly. It would be uncouth to not offer a lady of high birth his arm and it would be even more so to speak to her as if she was part of the smallfolk.]
I think I have visited more than you have, my lady. Mainly because of my brother Jon being on another vessel.
[He guides her towards his (rather small) chamber. Thank the gods he has cleaned it a little. He is no maid, but the concept of hygiene is not lost to him.]
I take it you do not wish to stay here for long, my lady?

Loaves safely tucked into the oven, he's crutching down the hallway to change out of his flour-speckled coveralls into a clean pair when he hears someone calling out from the direction of the cargo bay. It's a brief detour, and he peeks in to see someone unfamiliar making their way from the shuttle docks. He calls down, leaning in the doorway for the moment.]
Welcome aboard! Looking for someone?
action;
He is about to turn left when he hears a voice calling from above.]
Ah... [Robb looks up and sees a young man standing in the doorway.] ...Aye, I am looking for the lady Granger, ser. Have you seen her?
action;
Has he been on the same ship with her for a good month and never really introduced himself? Also yes. Though he's ready and willing to justify that with a billion things - spending every possible moment off-ship on the space station, his work at Varric's bar, personal projects - in order to avoid admitting that he has no chill when it comes to meeting authors he likes, let alone literary figures who are absolutely freaking amazing.]
-oh. Not . . . today? I can show you where the lab is, though, if you want to check there.
action;
[He smiles a little and nods deeply afterwards.]
My thanks, ser.

The beginning sounds perfect to me. [ She brightens him, shifting and moving forward, hesitating for a moment before she leans up and smiles, a small, little thing, before she rises up and makes herself a bit more comfortable. ] Do you want to see something change or something appear?
no subject
He blinks when Hermione starts to talk again, snapping him right out of his thoughts.]
Ah...I... [He taps his chin briefly.] ...make something disappear then. [Slowly he moves to sit down, eyes focused on her. Will there be sparks? Or some sort of incantation? Old runes?]
no subject
Okay, I can do that. I'm going to cast the spell - it won't hurt you, I swear. [ Robb sits and Hermione goes and tugs something out of her bag - just a useless bit of paper that she had found there after waking on the Vanquish - and she places it down between them before she waves her hand over it, muttering Evanesco. Before their eyes the paper simply vanishes. ]
There. Magic.
no subject
Aye, very well. [Where she is giddy he is a little uncomfortable and it shows in how he keeps shifting in his chair and how his eyes narrow.] Just a small...spell. Worry not, it is not easy to scare me. [Only sometimes it is.
When she fishes out a piece of parchment he dares to relax a little. This will not hurt him. Not that a knight waving a battle hammer around could not hurt him, but that was different. That was not something like sorcery. Just war.
The paper disappears so fast that it makes him blink a couple of times. Oh, that truly was sorcery. Very harmless but there definitely was no explanation why the parchment suddenly disappeared.]
Well done, lady Granger. [Robb tries his best to make his voice sound light and amused but he wonders if he is able to lose the tense undertone.] You have placed it in your bag again, I take?

So down she comes into the cargo hold, peering around until she finds Robb and his makeshift range. She waves to him as she approaches.]
I hope I'm not too late to take up your offer?
action
When Riona appears he is busy eating a bit of bread, chewing slow and thoughtfully and only pausing to scratch his arm from time to time.]
Ah, lady Riona. [He swallows a bit of bread away before he stands.] Of course, that is why I have set this up. [He hasn’t seen many of the people on this ship. But then again, who would need a gun if you could wield two swords? Or bend air?]
action
I haven't tried using one of the... guns yet. How have you found them so far?
action
I rather have my sword. These guns weigh nothing. Also, they lack defense. Apparently they go without a shield.

When Beverly enters he rises slowly, smiling a little.]
Good morrow. [At least, he thinks it is still morning. It is hard to make out when floating surrounded by darkness.] Have you come to learn about these guns, my lady?

That hair is very curly. And very familiar. Even though she knows this isn't anyone she knows.]
no subject
At least, until he notices a small girl with curly hair right behind him. He stiffens a little before he regains his cool again. Gods, I should pay attention...]
Good morrow. [Robb smiles a soft smile.] Do you live on this ship?
no subject
Only sometimes. I move around a lot, you see. I'm Dorothy. Are you looking for someone?

You've been so busy. [ weak-voiced, but still caring. ] I thought I might offer to...to get you something. W-water or iced milk with honey?
[ her brother is a man grown. mayhaps he doesn't drink such childish things any longer. but she doesn't know how to get him wine and already feels clumsy in offering to do servant's work. ]
no subject
Sansa. [He utters her name softly before shoving one of the targets against the wall.] I do not mind being busy. [He smiles a little before he finally approaches her.]
Milk and honey sounds good. [He still likes that better than some sour, old wine.] Shall we drink together then? I can use something to eat as well.
no subject
Maybe Lady Jilly has left something good to eat in that -- [ refrigerator too modern a word. her nose crinkles. ] In the cold box.
