OTA l Kitchen, Rec Room or Bridge

[After some time, Wanda's begun to resume a more active presence around the ship. No longer hiding away in her bunk room, she'll often be found in the kitchen during meal times, willing to socialize with fellow crew members and visitors. And at other times, she can be found in the rec room. It's been a while since she last practiced some of the steps that James Barnes had taught her, and she figured she needed to get back into the habit of practicing. When she's not throwing punches at the bag, she's instead moving weights and other various objects around the room. Nothing too crazy or anything, but just enough to practice her abilities, trying to reclaim a bit of a routine that she'd let slip.]

[However, despite her apparent return to normal behavior, there are times when she can be found on the bridge, by herself. She's not really doing anything ship-work related, more so she'll just be found seated in one of the pilot chairs, seemingly staring out into the void of space. Watching, almost searching, for something.]

[ Ororo makes it to the rec room around the time Wanda is making various objects float around the room. It's a surprising sight, but Ororo smiles. It brings back memories of old friends. ]

... That's an interesting gift.

[At the sound of the unfamiliar voice, Wanda's concentration breaks slightly, and the objects noticeably jerk about, looking as if they're going to crash back down. However, Wanda regains her focus, and catches them before they touch the ground. She levitates everything back to its proper positions, as she found them before turning her attention to the stranger. She eyes her curiously, this woman who seemed not only unfazed by Wanda's powers, but also amused by them.]

[Her smile turns apologetic once the objects jerk, and are ultimately sent back to their places.] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude.

[A few moments pass before she speaks up again:] I had friends who could do the same. Or something very similar, at least.

Things like I just did?

[Not that it was surprising to hear. At this point, Wanda has become acutely aware that people with all manner of powers exist everywhere.]

Does it look similar? When they use their "abilities," does it look the same to how mine look?

[Wanda knows this is likely a long shot, but she is curious about something.]

Very nearly. Sometimes they take on a different... glow, I suppose? [She pauses, considering.] Telekinesis as far as I've encountered it often has a signature color depending on who is wielding it.

[Interesting. This is the first time Wanda's someone's claimed to have seen abilities like Wanda's that also manifest in a similar looking fashion.]

A color...

May I ask, how did your friend come by their power?

[storminside]

It was a part of her. She was born with it, but it didn't manifest itself until she was older... Which is the usual case for most of us, I suppose. [There were some exceptions to that rule, but she's not going to dwell on those.]
