"Yes please, if you can spare a cup." Ororo steps into the kitchen fully, now that she's gotten a better look at who she's speaking to. She'd take a seat somewhere at the table, but she didn't want to seem rude. So she sort of hangs around by the entry way, hands clasped neutrally before her.

"I didn't think there would be tea here, not after looking at what our options for food are."

"Bought it down on the station," Peggy explained as she poured another cup. Honey and sugar were already on the table, but now she fetches the milk (or what she hopes is mostly milk-like) from the refrigerator and adds that to the squat little army of additives. "I stocked up, this time. Last I ran out, I was stuck with their watered down green tea for weeks."

Ororo can't help the little frown that wrinkles her nose. She's not usually that picky, honestly, she grew up on much less after all, but... Well okay, so maybe she's a little picky after years of living with people who practically mainlined coffee and tea daily. The thought of watered-down tea for weeks turns her stomach a bit.

"It's good that you managed to stock up, then. I was of the impression that the fleet's currency had been... compromised, or something to that effect?" She looks to Peggy for confirmation. She had no idea what to make of that, really, since her account had been frozen upon arrival.

"So they were," she admitted. "Which taught us all a good lesson in keeping a slush fund of credits in physical form. Under the mattress, so to speak." Peggy's smile was slow -- and it didn't quite reach her eyes. Presumably, she'd done this very thing on her own.

"And there were good employment opportunities on the station itself. I bought tea, some various essentials, a pair of shoes. Other things the Atroma generally overlook when stocking their ships."

Ororo smiles as Peggy goes through her list. She's one of the more level-headed people she's run into so far, which she really appreciates. She's glad to be part of a crew with her in it.

"... I can see why you're the first mate of this ship. You're very thorough."

"There was a gap," she admitted. "And it needed filling. Honestly, I'm not entirely accustomed to the idea of space travel. Even now. I hear man one day lands on the moon, but..."

A half-shouldered shrug. "Earth. 1947. Peggy Carter."

"Ororo Munroe, Earth." She smiles a little; she'd suspected Peggy was from a different time, but that was a little earlier than she'd expected. "... 2014, but even today space travel is incredibly disorienting. I still have trouble adjusting to it every time I find myself out here."

"I will say that drifting about in space is quite a bit better than the moon, however. I've been a few times, and nothing good has ever come good of it."

"Early 21st century seems a rather common time of origin. So to speak. A handful of fellows from my own world come from around that same year -- not that I ever really knew them back home, considering the aforementioned gap."

She was honest. And she was forthright. It wasn't worth the lie, especially with Wanda and Tony aboard. "-- but are you one of those astronaut sorts, then?"

"Oh, no, I'm afraid not." She shook her head. She wasn't even trained for space travel at all, but how to explain the sort of thing she does, and how she even found herself in space when she did...

"We - my friends and I, that is - we've been drawn into space affairs over the course of our travels quite a few times. We'd made some friends, some enemies... and now space is simply just part of the X-Men life."
mucked: (☂ any place is better)

"X-Men," she caught the word as if in mid-air. Plucking it from the winds, and selecting it especially. "There's a term I've heard passed around here and there. A young woman named Rogue mentioned it in passing."
