[Well, that's a given. He twists a bit where he is to look at her.]

Lot more parts in shuttles. Cars're... simpler.

[And for that reason, he likes them fifty times more.

Yet, you still find these shuttles to be a good... refresher?

[She does not mean to sound sarcastic or cynical, merely curious. She has never had a desire to tinker with the insides of any vehicles, so she finds Max's activities to be rather intriguing.]

[He goes quiet, for a moment.

A refresher? That's a simple but effective way of explaining it.

Eventually he wets his lips, nods.]

[Makes sense. Wanda kneels down a bit more to get a better view of what he's looking at. Admittedly, probably interfering in his personal space slightly, not that she's deliberately trying to.]

And what have you been able to put together? As far as, how these shuttles operate?

[Max shrugs.]

Not much. Just high technology. Only reason I understand is....

[He taps his augment. Tap, tap.]

Last place I was... Hm. Messed with your head, too.

[Wanda nods her head in understanding. Max's was not an unfamiliar story to her at this point.]

I can not imagine it ever gets comfortable. The feeling of someone else playing in your head.

[The way she says these words, there is almost a touch of guilt to them.]

[.... Hmm. Interesting there. Max won't try to read into it, vague as she is in her honest tone. It could be a lot of things, to give that to her.]

M'used to it.

[He's also a madman, as far as he's concerned.

So he's used to his own mind playing tricks on itself.]

Never had that before now? The feeling.

[Wanda thinks his question over for a bit before answering.]

Not quite like this, no.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

[Wanda looks around a moment for a prop she can use. Spying a tool lying nearby, she swirls her hand, and it begins to glow with scarlet luminescence. The hand tool levitates slowly through the air, spinning softly as it flies. It lands delicately in her open hand, and Wanda studies it as she responds.]

These things that I can do. They did not come to me naturally.

[Max watches with mild surprise -- not shock, not alarm, but just his usual wary way. It's something he's gotten used to. Abilities like these. He gives a slight nod, recollecting Rey and Erik and Xavier. People like them, they exist in these worlds. He doesn't treat it as much more than the usual naymore.]

Superhuman.

Met a lot of people with -- powers.

[A small smile finds its way to Wanda's lips. "Superhuman." That was the first time someone referred to her with that term. There had been other... monikers, by which she had been called, but never before "superhuman." It had a nice ring to it, especially the way Max said it.]

Since arriving her, I have come to understand that something that would be considered much more unique back home can be commonplace elsewhere.

[She orbits the tool around her hand casually, eventually getting bored, and softly returning to the ground next to her.]

It seems the way that everyone comes by their abilities can vary significantly.

[He nods.]

Isn't normal in my world.

... Guess someone could get radioactive enough. Dunno.

[Not sure if he's joking or not, there's an awkward moment where Wanda studies his expression carefully. Trying to deduce if that was meant as a joke. Eventually, though, she does crack, and lets out a little snort followed by a giggle.]

[Abuh--

He looks surprised, a little off-guard.]

Ahm. Did I...

[... Say something weird...]

[She waves a hand in front of her face, letting her little giggle fit pass.]

No, no, I am sorry. I should not have laughed at that. You were just so... so serious about it...

[She coughs, catches her breath. Tries her apology again.]

I apologize for laughing.

S'fine. I didn't...

[mean for it to be funny, but. alright.

He looks mildly pleased, anyway, as if the accidental giggle fit has calmed him.]

It's good to laugh, sometimes.

[Says the man who never laughs.]

[She grins at that, giving him a bit of a judging look as she teases him.]
