[He's almost always bored, so certainly, he'll wander by the cargo hold, cup of tea floating along behind him like a pet hummingbird.

Ah, the crates. He'd been meaning to poke around in those. Loki crooks a finger at one of the gumballs to pull it over to his hand.]

Really, is the entire cargo this?

[sandhate]

[ He watches the gumball goes to Loki's hand then picks one up himself, rolling it between his finger and thumb. ]

Looks like it. Any ideas if it could be more than meets the eye?

[complicatedliar]

[He sniffs the gumball and grimaces. Ugh. Human food.]

Perhaps. [He rolls the gumball between his fingers, meditatively. Then lets it go to float between his hands. He hisses a word at it that isn't a word, that echoes and wobbles and shapes reality around.

The air shudders.]

Hmm. Interesting.

[sandhate]

[ He would wait for an explanation but instead impatiently asks. ]

And?

[complicatedliar]

'tis more than a bit of candy.

[He sticks the gumball, which seems rather scorched, into the air to hover and calls a second over.] Will this one be as odd, I wonder...

[sandhate]

[ He makes a face and looks at the gumballs in the air. It doesn't look off and the only weirdness he can sense from all of it is from the magic that Loki is using. Similar to James' floating trick, so he just assumes it's the same thing. ]

Are you going to make me ask every time?

[complicatedliar]

If you continue to bother me whilst I'm thinking, this will take much longer.

[Same drill with the second gumball.]

Hm.

[Flicks that one back over to Anakin.] Has anyone tried chewing upon one of these things?

[sandhate]

Well, think a little faster.

[ But once Loki's done with the gumball, he rolls it in his hand, making a face at the scorched and weird sweet smell coming off it. ]

I was going to. But that doesn't look like something I should put in my mouth.

[ He picks up the third, mostly untouched gumball and unceremoniously pops it in his mouth, chewing then shrugging. ]

[Way to give him incentive to slow roll it even more.] Patience, mortal.

[Yeah, he's so not putting that in his mouth. Loki inspects the remains of his own gumball and then has at it with a different spell, something that will smash it similar to chewing. Just commanding it to give up its secrets hadn't been nearly as useful as he'd hoped, but it does mean the gumballs aren't cursed. So that's nice.]
