But it still looks like one... And I can't grow one like that! Even if it isn't a real beard. [ Sascha grins a tad childishly, leaning over a bit so he can inspect it behind his ridiculous shades. ] Do you ever shave?

[bb_wolf]

Well, if you're dead, no. You wouldn't grow hair.

[He isn't getting up from his nest of pillows. He's just as comfortable in this shape as any other that isn't him.]

Course I do. Every couple of days.

[pneumo]

So it's kiiiind of like a beard then. [ Maybe...just maybe, Bigby will let him encroach then and sit down in front of him, only a few feet off. ]

[bb_wolf]

[Well, he's not stopping him or making growly noises.

He does shift back to being properly human, though, with just his shadow of a beard.]

It still isn't a beard.

[pneumo]

Close enough! [ Yesss, good. Then he'll scoot himself forward a little and grin. ]

I like it.

[bb_wolf]

No.

[He can see where this is going. Sascha is going to try to sidle close enough to pet his face.]

Don't even think of trying it.

[pneumo]

[ That...is totally what he was going to do. Bigby called it. ]

But you let me pet you before...!

[bb_wolf]

[Bigby gives a soft growl, discouraging.]

Different. Human. I don't like it when I'm human.

[pneumo]

How come...? [ His shoulders droop some, but he knows what the growl means. He won't push his luck for now, just cants his head. ]

[bb_wolf]

Not the same. Wolf me? It feels different. Human skin isn't the same. And when I say skin, I don't necessarily mean just the skin.

[pneumo]

Oh... Well what about your hair? I like having my hair brushed, I could brush yours! [ Or sit next to him on down comfy pillows... ]

[bb_wolf]

No. I don't like being touched much when I'm human.

[He felt small and bare and vulnerable and people only really touched him to hurt him or because he was hurt. Anything more than a hand on his forearm was unfamiliar.]

[pneumo]

Really?? I love being touched... [ Obviously not while human because he's a vampire, but hey. Sascha tilts his head again. ]

Sasuke doesn't like it either. I got full of knives last time I tried.

[bb_wolf]

... did you crawl into bed with him without permission?

[Because he sort of gets that reaction. Whereas if Sascha was just approaching and got stabbed, Bigby will have to go and thump whoever Sasuke is.]

[pneumo]

Yeah... [ Nope, Sasuke is all good in that regard. He even told Sascha not to do it beforehand and he did it anyway. ]

[bb_wolf]

[Bigby reaches out and smacks Sascha upside the head.]

What have I fucking told you about that?

[pneumo]

Ow! It was before that...! [ Sascha's hand quickly rises to hold the side of his head. ]

[bb_wolf]

Do not do it again.

[You've been warned, Sascha.]

[pneumo]

I won't, I won't...! I'll ask first I promise! [ Don't kick him out Bigby )8! ]

[bb_wolf]

Good.

[Reward. Bigby scruffles Sascha's hair and picks up his book again.]

[pneumo]

[ Gasp... A hair ruffle. Sascha looks briefly surprised, but pretty much immediately free he's beaming, eyes wide and bright. ]

♥...!

[bb_wolf]

[Bigby gives that no recognition and instead opens his book up, settling back into the pillows.]

[pneumo]

[ It's okay, Sascha knows Bigby ignores him because he cares--and that's why when the work settles back Sascha tries encroaching again; and hopefully since his intent isn't to touch the other's beard, but to huddle up near him he'll be permitted. ]

[bb_wolf]

[He's not trying to pet Bigby's fucking face, so Bigby lets him shuffle closer. He doesn't invite him with an outstretched arm, but that sort of body language wouldn't be natural to him.

This is. He's ignoring Sascha, which from an alpha wolf is permission for the attention of a lower pack mate.

So yeah, he ignores because he cares.]

[pneumo]

[ It's good enough for Sascha, and since he doesn't receive any deterring growls he'll happily crawl his way over to the pillow pile on his hands and knees until he's close enough that he can flop onto his side near Bigby and just sort of lie there with a smile on his face. Comfy time with his favourite wolf♥ he couldn't be happier. ]
