[ All Winter really wants is to not be on the ship at the moment..and also beat out some of the frustration that's been building like a storm. He really wasn't expecting anyone to be in the Iskaulit's gym at this particular time, but here they both are. ]

[of the faces he would and would not want to see here on the iskaulit, orion would have to say winter's is... well, on the "would not." but winter himself, on the "would". this whole doubles thing is hard to swallow, and running from his problems is easier than facing them.

[but winter is not his problem. winter is something he identifies with. something he understands.

[ He shrugs a shoulder and moves to one of the punching bags a bit out of Orion's way. ]

[ He busies himself with wrapping his right hand, flexing his fingers before laying into the punching bag. ]

[ He lands another punch with perhaps more force than necessary, stopping and looking at Orion. ]

It's like walking into a room and you know something's wrong, but you can't see it.

[ Winter grimaces, eyes flicking away from him. It's definitely a healthy dose of both, though he's got no right to be mad at Steve like he is. It's hard for him to define what his feelings are on the matter. He's allowed to feel angry or upset, but they're at war with each other. He doesn't honestly fucking know. ]

There is no way to anticipate what will happen. How can you be ready for every possible outcome?

[ He gives the bag another irritated double jab. He's already dreading what the other motion is going to be. There are too many variables to consider to really narrow anything down. ]
