Does anyone have any kid's or smaller-sized clothes they don't mind lending out? I'm...in a little bit of a weird spot.

[ to say the least. how lucky that they showed up when the fleet's accounts were frozen.

it's a minor inconvenience when compared to things like being dragged here, away from the fulfillment of their plan, but regardless. ]

I only have my pajama's and what they gave us. I know how to knit, but i don't have anything to do it with, so I can't make my own clothes.

I prefer stripes, if anyone has anything like that.

[ truthfully, they'd rather not bother with something like repayment. but that isn't the image they're trying to present to the fleet, so! ]

I'm not sure what I could give in return...I know how to garden and knit if anyone wants to learn.

However, I can lend you the money with a small amount of interest, depending on when you return it to me. Say, if you do it within a month, no interest whatsoever, for whatever needs you have.

Well, it depends on the quality of the material and the outfits you are buying. I myself bought some items for both commonplace and future social outings. If you are simply looking for things to putter around with, a hundred should do you.

When I did get anything, someone else always bought it for me.

So, here is what you need to know. Buy no clothing from a street vendor. They shall see you from a country mile away, and rob you blind.

Why would they do that?

[ of course, they know. especially if the vendor is a human. surely no human would have an issue with cheating a child out of their money. ]

Because they are looking for money, not sympathy. Sympathy does not buy them wine or food. Go to a legitimate store. When we next have money, put it somewhere safe in your room. Do not leave it in their ... banking system.

Would you trust anyone else with your money after this particular fiasco?

[ Honestly, Hera's disappointed in herself about this. Clearly, she hasn't gotten the point across well enough that her crew can come to her with anything they need. Maybe there are cultural differences at work that she's not aware of, but she still considers it a personal failing, on some level. ]

I can get anything you need on the station. Is there anything else in particular, besides "stripes" that I should know about?
