[Remy has set up his video to show him standing in the cargo area of the WonderDuck, several knee high box at his side with one open to show row after row of nearly stacked packets of different colours.]

In light of what’s happened of late with our deliveries we had to make, this does seem ill timed, but it had been something I was askin’ for, so guess I should say thank ya to whatever sponsor decided to send me a bunch of gum, [He holding up an open packet he had in hand, this one being neon blue in color with some strange letters that appeared in a font very similar to a silvery, holographic style comic sans written over it, but was nothing like any Earth style languages.] So thank ya whatever company ya be. Would had been better when I was strugglin’ to stop smokin’, but still be mighty kind of ya ‘nd I got no problem bein’ a sell-out ‘nd flashin’ it to every ‘nvisible camera that be ‘round us. [That also may had been a bad joke in another way.]

Either way, if ‘nyone actually wants some gum, ya’ll welcome to it. Know there be some fellow smokers in our midst so if ya think this will help ya quit I can certainly send some ya way. Or to ‘nyone who just wants some. Flavor wise it does seem a bit of a lottery. ‘ve gotten something that kinda tropical mix, ‘nd ‘nother that was more or less Thanksgivin’ dinner. It was a little Willy Wonka, but luckily no blueberry pie at the end of it. So try at ya own risk.

It's really, really not. [She doesn't approve of this quitting business.] The gum might taste better than some of the food here anyway. So, if you're sharing... I'll generously take you up on it.

[As for the that previous topic.] How ya copin', with givin' up, that be. Gone through ya stock yet or plannin' to save a couple?

Working really hard at being my usual charming self. I've still got a few stored away for a rainy day. I don't suppose these sponsors ever send crates of cigarettes?

So wait, does that make me ya new favorite Gambit, or ya new favorite, comma, Gambit. Because that certainly makes a difference to how I react to that. [He grinned over the video, showing he was just joking about it all.]

Not that 've heard off, 'nd if they do I bet there would be a twist to it. End up with candy ones or ones that flavored with spinach or something. But hey, worth a try, it only took... two months or so for my request for gum to come through. It ain't no guarantee but worth throwin' it out there 'nd offerin' to put ya face to the product.

If you want to hear a comma who am I to stop you? [There was no comma.]

Sounds like they're tricky. At least the gum isn't spinach flavored. ...It's not, right?

I haven't come 'cross one so far, just the two I mentioned 'nd also something that I swear suppose to be a cake 'nd strawberries maybe, 'nd 'nother that was a sweet cinnamon but it was strong 'nough to burn out ya taste buds, [And that was saying something considering his love of spices.] So ya might just have to table the gamble 'nd see what ya get.

Sounds exciting which isn't something you can usually say for gum. At least not unless you're life has been very dull which isn't something I think either of us know anything about.

[She regards him thoughtfully. It's the first time she's spoken to Remy since Kurt—her Kurt—told her about Piotr's death. Her Remy took him out which under any circumstances but the one that it was under would have been a decidedly bad thing. As it is... She's not sure how to feel about it. Not that this man knows anything of it.]

So, what did you think of all our new faces? [She means the X-Men specifically, but she also doesn't know how many he would have recognized.]

[Maybe a good thing if he wasn't told about that as Remy had been good friends with the Piotr from his world, at least before they parted ways. Piotr had been a good teammate and helped balance the craziness of working with the other Acolytes that were Pyro and Sabertooth.]

Yaself 'nd Kurt be the biggest change I gotta say, ya versions in m' world are younger 'nd, [How to put this?] Less 'xperienced with life. I didn't have much 'nteraction with that Kitty, bein' on opposite teams 'nd all. So gettin' to know ya pretty much like just meetin' ya for the first, no real connections from back home. Now the Kurt from m' world, there was a version of him in the last place I was in before this. We weren't close, but managed to get on more or less. Real easy to tease 'nd get all riled up. Ya Kurt though, he seems like a decent guy, [Just damaged, but that wasn't surprising with what they had gone through.] Can certainly appreciate his style of humor.

'nd pretty much same for Storm 'nd Wolverine as with ya, though my run ins with that Logan haven't been the most... friendly.

Our home was...is [present tense according to Kurt] a little extreme I guess. [And they followed suit.]

[She knows who he means when he says "Wolverine" even if it's still strange to hear that as Logan's codename. It should be Weapon X to her ears, but she's aware of the change.]

You don't get along with Logan here or anywhere? [Not too much of a surprise if it's everywhere considering he was on the side against the X-Men at home. She might find that easier to wrap her mind around if Rogue didn't seem okay enough with him and he wasn't giving her gum and generally being friendly. Then again, she's been close to friendly monsters in the past. She just doesn't think that's the situation here.]

Ahh, this one seems ok at the moment, but the one back home be pretty much one sided. Ya with him or against him, there be no middle ground. [Unless someone he cared about was in danger, after all Logan had forgone his normal anger (to a degree) to team up with both Remy and Sabertooth in their mission to try and save Rogue from Apocalypse. It hadn't been pretty, but they managed it.] Then again, from what I hear, that Wolverine 'nd Gambit be on the same team, so kinda gotta get on to some degree for that to work, non?

Think it more the case I crossed the man one too many times to be on his nice list. [There was a shrug that went with those words, as if it didn't really matter to Remy. Then again, he was simplifying the situation a little, leaving out a few key details that wouldn't show him in a great light. After all, kidnapping a member of the X-Men didn't typically go down well with the group.]

He has his difficult moments. [But she's always been close to him. At least before he left the team.]

So how's it feel hearing you're one of the X-Men in more worlds than you aren't? [At least from the sample they have here of people who have heard of him at all. Erik didn't mention a version of him at all.]

[Giving a shake of his head to that question, he let out a breathy laugh,] Now that, that takes more gettin' use to. [Before pulling out a piece of gum from the pack he was holding and folding it up into his mouth, chewing a few times and pausing to check the flavor... before continuing to chew after giving a 'not too bad' expression.] Can't say I really see it happenin' m'self, so guessin' there quite a few differences between the worlds.

[His grin turned a bit teasing as Remy pushed the question back onto her.] How ya feel 'bout ya other self like, totally, bein' like, ya know, one of those, like, girls who talk like that. [That last word was pitched up, as if it was ending in a question rather than a statement. It may be laying on the accent and mannerisms of the Kitty from his world a bit too much, but it was all meant in a joking manner.]

[She looks amused at that.] Did I tell you she was in the prison with me? [She knows she told Rogue and little Kurt.] Not exactly like looking into a mirror.

Ya kiddin', really? [Remy let out a chuckle at that reveal.] Now that must had been quite a meetin'.

It was something. Pretty early in on our time there so it was the first time a second version of the same person showed up. Lucky me.

Always nice to be the guinea pig, non? [And while this Kitty seemed tough enough to survive whatever the prison was like Remy had to assume the younger, more naive girl from his world must had struggled.] Don't think 've run 'cross that yet other than bein' here, seein' two of the same person but from different worlds.

My favorite. [Unless Sinister or Dark Beast are involved.]

You met my Kurt I take it? [Is it odd she just claims Kurt Darkholme as hers now? It's an easy short hand for it.]

[Oh, the could both agree on that first name. That, that... that was a topic that was far too close to him and still hurt far too much.]

Not in person, but yeah, when he was bouncin' 'round the ship 'nd tryin' to figure out what was goin' on when he first got here. He's a real charmer.

He can be. Maybe you're just not his type, Remy. The accent can't work on everyone. [Have a playful smile.]

Lie 'nd slander cherie, lies 'nd slander. We both know that ain't true. [Remy teamed this up with one of his more well practiced and charming smiles.]

[That gets a laugh.] Oh, do we? You think you've got me charmed?

[Remy let out his own laugh.] Ahh, now I know a loaded question when I hear one, 'cause if I say oui that might 'mply ya easily manipulated, 'nd if I say non then 'mplies I don't think ya worth tryin' to charm. [He let out a 'tsk'ing sound while shaking a finger at the video to her, but smiling all the time.] I know these tricks.

Playing it safe, Gambit? Never thought I'd see the day.

Now petite, ever good gambler knows there be times ya gotta fold rather than take a risk, just all part of the game.

Plus, been 'round 'nough femmes to know never to cross certain lines or answer certain questions, like the good old 'Does my butt look big in these pants?', there no safe way of gettin' out of those type of questions.

Run away so you can live to charm another day?

Though I do have bad news about your butt in those pants...
