Hey guys! I have a bit of a weird question for you today.

Did anyone by any chance stock up on apples before we left the Starlight? Or... apple puree, maybe? Or, um. Apple-anything-not-in-a-protein-cube? It's important. I promise.

I'd be willing to trade you credits or food from the Starstruck in exchange. We have a lot of dried and frozen meat. Like. A lot.

On an unrelated-but-not-really note...

Does anyone know how to make apple pie?

But-- to be fair, when we first met we didn't get along at all.

I think we only get along well now because we've been through so much together.

You have a lot to learn. [He taps his temple, looking surprisingly pleased.] Met someone who was a lot like me back home. Read me right under my nose, became teammates because of it. Sometimes it just takes, ah... living familiar lives, turning... into similar people.

They know things nobody else does, without words.

What-- hey! [Ahsoka covers her forehead with one hand protectively where Max tapped it.]

I guess that's true. But that would only happen in your own world, right? Everyone here's from such different places...

[He cocks his head to the side.]

Worlds don't matter... Understanding does. Familiar feelings and memories. The easiest I've felt here is meeting people who... hmmm. Understand what it means. To survive in a world where it's always a hard day.

[He gives her a look.]

Is falling asleep on people normal for jedi?

[Ahsoka shrugs.] I don't always sleep very well. [It's true. She is often up at all hours of the night.] Gotta get some shut-eye in when it comes to you, right?

Besides, it's not like you could sneak up on me. My senses are pretty good.

[You're talking to yourself here, man. Max's skill at sleeping is... well... not very good. He may seem like he's napping a lot, but that's because he is — he literally sleeps for one or two hours and then carries on for an exceedingly long time. Keeping him out is a true challenge.

So Ahsoka probably sees him awake and semi-delirious on a regular enough basis.]

I just feel like it's too quiet here, you know? I keep expecting something to go south or someone to attack us.

Usually does. Get mucked up. The nightmares remind us.

Have you tried sleeping, ah. In a shuttle? Might make you feel... More secure.

[It's common knowledge he does, too. He's offering what works for him -- because really, that's all anyone can do.]

No offense to your personal preferences, but if someone's determined to catch me in my room, they'll catch me in the shuttle too.

Besides, the bedroom has more room for maneuvering if there's an attacker.

[He shakes his head.]

Can lock the shuttle -- be ready to pilot it then and there. If there's a breach, don't have to worry about getting sucked into space... Better defense against bullets, too.

It's moveable armor.
