[Y'all, Misty can't be the only one who hates this place, so let's all gather on the Iskaulit, safe from all that dark and rot down on the polluted moon and have ourselves a good time!

Oh no! [Her brow furrowed, Misty watches the rats scurry with dismay.] I promise I won't hurt you none!

[Poor things. Can't really blame 'em though, so she turns her attention back to Sora.]

Is it some kind of spell or potion you use, or is it just something you naturally know how to do?

It's alright- they're just used to running when someone big comes by.

I dunno...it started about a year ago. Pok- [Correcting himself] Animals just started making sense in what they're saying.

[She nods.] My powers were like that too. Didn't start showing up 'til I was 18 or 19.

Really? [oh hey another late bloomer! Awesome!] What can you do?

Well... I can make potions and do spells... but mainly I got the power of Resurgence.

Resurgence? What's that?

[There's a slight hesitation - people don't always take this very well but here... things have been different here.]

I can bring the dead back to life.

[3-2-1 SHOCK AND AWE]

[Shock and awe is better than fear. Much better.]

I know, I couldn't believe it either, when it first happened. But it's true.

That's-

That's incredible! Do they come back fully alive? Or like ghosts?!

Totally alive, mind, body, and soul. Even brought myself back a coupla times. There’s certain limitations though - I can’t bring back anyone who’s been gone too long, otherwise their soul’s too far to reach. And whatever killed them don’t just disappear, so I gotta still heal their wounds or fix their broken bones and that kinda thing.

Woooooow.

[Even with those rules, he looks so thoroughly impressed]

That's so cool.

[She smiles uncertainly, just half of a smile, really.]

Yeah? You think so? Most people are just scared by me.

Yeah, I really think so. And you don't seem so scary to me.

[And he was pretty good at telling that sorta thing]
