[Y'all, Misty can't be the only one who hates this place, so let's all gather on the Iskaulit, safe from all that dark and rot down on the polluted moon and have ourselves a good time!

(Or at least, a pollution-free time).

[Wanda looks down at her hands a moment, knowing it's not the same thing-her gifts and Misty's. A look of disappointment crosses her face.]

I see. That would make sense.

[Misty's expression softens. She knows how that feels, to want to do something that you just can't. She holds out the bottle to Wanda.]

Wanna pour the next one?

[Wanda immediately looks up, enthusiasm clearly shining in her eyes once again.]

Can I? I do not need to use magic to make it work?

Oh yeah, sure! It’s just the makin’ of it that requires magic.

[She hands Wanda the vial.]

You don’t need to use a whole lot, just a drop will do.

[Wanda nods her head, acknowledging Misty's instructions. As she holds the vial, she handles it with a fair degree of care, perhaps a little overly so, but she wants to make sure she does the whole process just right.]

[When she does drop a bit of the potion on the next plant, the sudden burst of growth and color once again catches her a bit by surprise. it's just so sudden, but also so beautiful. She can't help but giggle, plus there's the added enjoyment of knowing that it was her hand this time that brought about the magic.]

[She looks over at Misty, perhaps appearing slightly too pleading.]

Can I do one more?

[Misty laughs.]

'Course you can!

[Wanda excitedly does a little squat-hop over to the next planted seed. This time she is a little slow and delicate, but she's still careful to not overdue it with the potion.]

[As the next flower blooms in its vibrant explosion of pedals, Wanda again looks like a child, happily entranced by the magic trick happening before her very eyes.]

[This time, though, after the flower finishes its rapid growth spurt, Wanda stands up and hands the potion back to Misty, a warm smile on her face.]

Thank you, for sharing this with me.

[She turns her attention briefly back to the flowers.]

Where did they come from?

[Misty knows the feeling well, that childlike wonder at magic. She still feels it all the time, to tell the truth. Smiling back at Wanda, she takes the vial back and tucks it in a little pouch hanging around her waist, over her skirts.]

You're welcome.

[Then she shrugs.]

I dunno exactly. Ino and that doctor lady are the ones who've collected most of the plants here.

Dr. Crusher? Yes, she had told me that she and Ino had been working to develop the garden. I didn't know how much of this was her work, or much was done by other volunteers.

Have you been helping out here long yourself?

Only about a month. Didn't know it was here for a while.

It is sort of unexpected, a greenhouse like this in space. But then, that could be said for a lot of things that we've encountered as part of the fleet.

Ain't that the truth? I'm still adjustin' to the fact that there's aliens!

I suppose if you think on it, we are all the aliens. The planets that we visit, the natives there seem the aliens to us, but, in truth, we are the visitors from another world.

Hey now, you're right! I'm an alien!

[Misty why are you so amused by this thought?]

[Wanda lets out a soft snort and a giggle.]

We both are.

Even to each other. We did both originally come from different worlds.

Yeah but I mean... we're both human. I don't know if that really counts.

If the term can be applied to people from other countries, it makes sense that it could apply to ones from other worlds.

[Wanda shrugs, considering her own words.]

Not that it really matters here. We've gone to so many places, met so many types of people, the word has practically lost its meaning.

Yeah I don't think anyone much cares where you come from or what you are, as long as you're not an asshole.

[Wanda snorts, and giggles at that, a friendly, sly grin appearing on her face.]

Well said.

Run into any yet?

There was this one guy, but he just disappeared. I guess Atroma didn't care much for him none either.

[The sly grin stays on Wanda's face. She had not been exactly sure if Misty would answer the question, as it was more meant in jest. However, that didn't make her response unamusing.]

Guess not. His "ratings" must not have been all that high.

[Her tone is dry, sarcastic. Clearly, Wanda puts little stock into that explanation as to why anything happens in the Fleet.]

Yeah well. I got a few good licks in before he left.

You actually fought this person?

He called me a liar.

[So. Yeah. That's reason to fight ain't it?]

[Wanda lets out a soft snort and a chuckle.]

And so you punched him... in the face...

You must take name-calling as a serious offense.
