[Y'all, Misty can't be the only one who hates this place, so let's all gather on the Iskaulit, safe from all that dark and rot down on the polluted moon and have ourselves a good time!

I'd hesitate to call them that though they are my family. But those connections aren't meant to be - regarded.

What do you mean, they aren't meant to be regarded?

They can be dangerous to a Jedi. Certain attachments can lead to fear and anger.

I've felt it before. I know its pull.

What about love and kindness and all that? Believe me, you can get just as scared and angry all by your lonesome too.

Those are encouraged, so long as it's distributed. In a way, a Jedi loves unconditionally. To love the Force is to love all life.

[Unconditional love. That's something Misty doesn't know much about, except from her religion and maybe from Cordelia.]

I don't think I'd make a very good Jedi then.

If it helps, not anyone can be a Jedi. It sounds simple, but the execution is far more difficult. I was not an exemplary Jedi until much later.

[ And it comes with a lot of baggage. One look at Anakin would prove that. ]

[She studies him for a moment, trying to determine something.]

Just tryin' to figure out how long you been at this. You don't look much older than me but didn't know if maybe you one of them immortal types that age real slow.

[ He nods. ]

Jedi do age slowly. Our Grand Master is past 700.
