[ In her video transmission, Kara has her blonde hair up in a messy topknot, wearing standard-issue clothes. She pushes her glasses up the bridge of her nose and looks a little sheepish ]

Um. Hi! Sorry to send this to everyone... Well, I had a question I wanted to pose to everyone but then another thing came up and...

Does anyone know how to reattach a door to a washing machine? I had a little mishap... and I still have a lot of laundry to get done. Anyway, it'd be awful if I didn't at least ask how to put it back the way it was.

The second thing is completely unrelated. Does anyone else feel really weird about wanting friends or family to show up? I don't think I'd wish this experience on anyone against their will, but as long as we're going to be here... it'd be nice to have familiar faces, don't you think? How do you deal with the conflict?

And is there any way to request they bring crullers with them?

I'll ask you over if the guys here can't figure it out. Because duh, the ship has engineers. I might have panicked...

And we can consider this me asking them for some.

[ He can't imagine how she'd have so much laundry... he's only got a few changes of standard issue clothes. ]

[ she laughs and waves and then waits for him ]

[ Luckily, he's pretty good with the shuttles after going to visit Celeste so much. Ramse shows up on the Tourist soon after they hang up, sending a quick message that he's made it and waiting in the hold for Kara to fetch him since he's never been on that ship before. Wandering around seems rude. He is nothing if not well mannered... and getting kicked out isn't on his agenda. ]

Hey! Come on in. I'm pretty sure we don't bite?

Everyone bites, the question's just what it takes. And you never know if the ship's got a guard dog. Mine does.

[ Okay so he's not as much a guard dog as a group pet, but. He could totally be a guard dog if they wanted. ]

You have a guard dog? Somehow I missed it.

His name's Rock, Meathead ran him over on the station and broke his leg... we kept him 'til he got better and then we just kept him.

Well, I'm glad he took him in. Does he guard much?

Mostly just his food, but I have the feeling if we had uninvited company he'd make his displeasure known. Just hasn't happened yet.

I'd feel kinda responsible as security officer, if someone broke onto the ship and Rock got there first.

I feel like it'd be hard to break into the ships? But maybe that's naive.

The docking bay only recognizes ships from our own fleet, right? It'd be tricky... probably it'd have to happen while we're at a space station. Have we ever had a stowaway situation?

I wouldn't really know. I don't think so.

...what about people leaving the fleet? By trying to stay behind on one of these worlds.

[ He's just very curious today. ]

I don't know about that either, but you'd be stranded in the middle of nowhere space with an implant in your head. And I don't think it would feel great.

Have they got a maximum distance before they short out or something?

[ He reaches up and touches his, disturbed once again by how little they know about the things. ]

Running away from the fleet? No, I don't think that would help me get home. Maybe it would be a good plan if I didn't have anywhere I wanted to be, though. Besides 'away from the reality show.'

I would also like to be away from it, but I feel like they'd find a way to short out our brains before the implant.
