Broadcast
[The camera shows a handsome, very built man sleeping in a bed. And it continues to show that for a very long time. Either is started broadcasting very early, or he's doing a very good job of pretending to be asleep when he's not.

When he does move, he sits up carefully, pushing his hair back from his face. He's wearing cargo pants and a plain white t-shirt that seems somehow too... mundane on him.

He gets up after a brief stretch and moves over to the communicator, picking it up and clicking it off without offering a word.]

On ship
[Apollo eventually emerges from his room, a bit somber and subdued. He wanders around in bare feet, moving quietly along the metal hallways. When he finds a window, he leans his hands against it, looking at the distant star at the heart of this system with undisguised longing.]

Oh wow. I've met other people, in other dimensions, with sun powers, but always a bit different.

Does he/she/they/ whatever sicken without sunlight, or just need it for super powers?

Just needs it for the super powers thankfully. Do you sicken without it? [Because that could be a worrisome thought.] Actually, a couple of us have been trying to come up with a device that might simulate it?

No. I feel a bit weak if I let myself flatline, but it doesn't happen often. I usually keep a better track of it since the one time it happened in an emergency.

Wouldn't it though? You know, unless we just all get the surprise cancer instead.

Well... that would suck. I don't want to give people cancer.

Neither do I. We are taking safety precautions. [She can just be sarcastic at times.]

I've never given anyone cancer before... I wonder if prolonged exposure to me by normal people would have that affect?

[ He's just musing it over now, he doesn't actually sound worried. ]

I'm pretty sure I don't. Though I could give a sunburn if I tried, I guess...

[ He laughs. ]

Yeah, or people could go the natural route and just sunbathe.

Well, sure, if you want to take the profit out of it. [As if she really cares about profit.]

Honestly, I think I'm more comfortable taking the profit out of it.

Well, not my way. Or my team's. I guess there are others who feel differently.

It wasn't a thing we did either, but then again money. [Shrugs.]

We didn't really need for anything. Carrier provided what little was needed and there was usually donations of things like clothes and toys.

We mostly scavenged or stole from Apocalypse's resources. But the system of commerce had collapsed so money wasn't really a thing you could use anyway.

I'm guessing Apocalypse is a person or organisation?

Person. Well, person with an army. He was the one destroying Earth and committing genocide.

Well, sounds like a thorough bastard in need of a jackhammer enema.

We should have tried that. It might have saved us some years of rebuilding.

There's a certain visceral satisfaction to it, I will grant you that.

As for years of rebuilding... harder to say.

Yeah, well, hard to know what the future will do when you change the past. [This is hilarious coming from her. Come on, where is the laugh track?]
