Who: two nerds and you
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: now!
[ The audio comes on sharply, but everything is still dark as two people discuss their situation.]
Is that the camera? Can you get it to work?
I - think so? Here, push this --
I am pushing it, Hank. I thought you knew about these from that show you keep watching. Space Trek?
It's Star Trek and that isn't exactly - you know, the same thing as this.
Right. . . . Wait, I think I see something on the side.
[ And the video flickers on, the red light glowing softly. It focuses on two men. One in a wheelchair and the other right next to him, peering curiously at the camera before they step back satisfied. ]
Well, that’s over and done with. Hello to anyone who might be out there. My name is Charles Xavier and this is Hank McCoy. Apparently we’ve been kidnapped again, by an unknown force again for some mysterious reason.
[muttered:] Again. [and louder] So if anyone would be kind enough to explain exactly what's going on, we'd appreciate it. You have our thanks in advance.
But do keep it pertinent.

[though, he doesn't believe that in the least. He purses his lips, thoughtful] It really isn't that different, is it. We're just in - space, instead of another realm.

Perhaps that's our way out. This isn't their realm. They're not fully in control here. Something is bound to slip up.

We just have to be vigilant. [he makes a brief gesture up at himself, eyebrows raised. Though, we may not want to talk about - that out loud much. At least, in detail.]

Perhaps the best way to get privacy is off the ship. ]

Well. All the more reason to find a way for you to go down to the moon.

Did you find out what your augment is?

[ Which Charles hopes is not as violent as it might sound. ] I wonder how much we're meant to do on the ships themselves.

[Hank is hoping the same thing] I'd like to know that, too. Not that I mind working in a lab, but -

[ He's guessing. ] At least you'll have a lab.

[he's purposely throwing references at you, what a jerk]
There is that. I'll try not to sleep there as much as I do in yours.
no subject
Yes, please try not to pass out on the table.
no subject
I'll do my best. No promises, though.

Don't get bullied by your ship mates.

I doubt that'll happen.
[. . . maybe]

[ He doesn't need to say which ones. ]

I'll be fine, professor.

I know.
[ It was still unsettling to see Raven like that. No, not Raven. Mystique. ]
