It's Star Trek and that isn't exactly - you know, the same thing as this.

Right. . . . Wait, I think I see something on the side.

[ And the video flickers on, the red light glowing softly. It focuses on two men. One in a wheelchair and the other right next to him, peering curiously at the camera before they step back satisfied. ]

Well, that’s over and done with. Hello to anyone who might be out there. My name is Charles Xavier and this is Hank McCoy. Apparently we’ve been kidnapped again, by an unknown force again for some mysterious reason.

[muttered:] Again. [and louder] So if anyone would be kind enough to explain exactly what's going on, we'd appreciate it. You have our thanks in advance.

Ah - well that's a little obvious. [he's good at backtracking, he knows he tends to ramble and talk before he thinks]

[Rogue considers that. She was not what most people would call 'open' on a good day, and this has been a pretty lousy week. This isn't really the sort of thing she'd want to talk about publicly, mostly because she was of the firm opinion that it wasn't anyone's business, and she'd learned not to trust the hard way.

Sure. [A bit of a shrug and a small smile.] Just give me a call once they shuffle ya out.

[he nods again, smile widening. He's genuinely looking forward to it, the nerd]

[This is very awkward. Rogue is not accustomed to think of Hank McCoy as 'adorable.' Even 'squishy.' What is this?]

Sure. I'll come by or we can meet up on the Ishkaulit or the moon.

[squishy is a new one, that's for sure]

[A shrug.]

Ah . . . hm. Maybe the Ishkaulit then? Once I - settle in and figure out the shuttles.

The augment'll take care of that. Flyin' the shuttle's like... ridin' a bike after it's been a few years. Especially if you've got other pilotin' experience.

[Her world's Hank was able to pilot the Blackbird...]

Ah - hmm, that's convenient.

[he isn't exactly comfortable with the idea of the augments doing that, but] I do have piloting experience, though.

Yup. They live ta make our life easy. [Or make us completely dependent on them, whatever.] So that should help ya.

That's a nice way of putting it. [he's thinking the same exact thing tbh] I guess that's something to look forward to - I mean, I like piloting. So.

Finding a bright side isn't too hard once I get past being a little cynical about it all.
