Who: margaery tyrell
Broadcast: fleet wide
Action: the windrose and all around the moon
When: current
[ enter margaery tyrell of the windrose. remember? silks, beautiful curls, too generous of a cleavage for a sixteen year old? queen to be?
today, the pale pink silks are tainted, as well as the usual fair skin with a mixture of dirt, mud, leaves and at least three colors of paint. ]
I do believe I won against the locals in their odd little paint game. I find it quite brilliant if a little bit of a hazard if one is very attached to their clothes.
[ the queen to be seems much more of a brat today ]
I offer a different game of chance. some smallfolk in my realm say that one can tell someone's future and their traits according to the palm of their hands. I was told it is all false but.
[ there is a but with margaery tyrell ]
A guessing game! I shall attempt to read your palm and if three of my guesses are correct, that must be worth a prize. I shall leave it to you to choose what to give me. If I lose, I shall of course be in debt of one prize to my company.

[action]
[ she places a finger against her lips ]
is a secret. A fortune teller must have some secrets, yes?
[action]
[ She doesn't specify whether she means the fortunes or something else. ]
[action]
[ especially here where none can see ]
[action]
[ Should she have been showing more respect, though? Eh. She's probably okay. She serves a Princess back home without much in the way of social pleasantries towards her, so. ] Your subjects are lucky.
[action]
[ an unfortunate timing, it was and one that she mislikes greatly but she knows better than to show anything but gratitude towards their hosts ]
when I return, I shall strive to be worthy of their love.
[action]
[ It occurs to Haruka that she is still holding Margaery's hand.
She squeezes it. A thank-you for the reading, maybe. ]
[action]
Well - you have been far too sweet to me and I asked nothing of you. tell me, how long have you been in this world?
[action]
[ Haruka laughs. ] I haven't done much.
[ That's not what was asked, Haruka. ]
[action]
[ she smiles. all ladies have their secrets, even more so than men. that much she understands well ]
but humility suits her.
[action]
[ It's still not an answer to the original question. ]
[action]
[ well isn't that just marvelous and entirely outstanding? a woman being in such a position. modernity will never stop impressing one margaery tyrell ]
truly? then I must be the fleet's most fortunate guest, I have yet to meet anyone who navigates these ships.
[action]
[ No pressure. And she's aware that maybe she's just being flattered. But Haruka likes to drive things. Haruka really likes to drive things. She is one hundred percent a modern woman, all driving conveyances and wearing trousers. What won't they think of next. ]
[action]
[ and she's already rising to her feet, excitement written on her features. she has never been inside one, though the ambition to see was always there. ]
please. that would be wonderful.
[action]
[ Consider this a half-caveat, half-apology that she won't be able to explain it to her satisfaction, but she'll always be happy to show a pretty girl around her pilot seat. ] But the view is great.
[ It would, ah. Have to be.
Follow her! ]
[action]
[ something she also never knew how to do before she came here ]
I trust I shall enjoy the view as well as your company.
[action]
[ The fact that these things come equipped with medics is troubling. But enough stalling.
Haruka leads the way through the ship, coming to a cockpit with two different pilot seats. The controls on each are noticeably different, given that the pilots are dealing with a...different number of digits available, shall we say. ] Here we are. This makes it go.
[ She gestures to some of the controls. ] Here's steering. [ More controls. ] And this -
[ She flips a switch to project the full view of their surroundings. ] Well, knowing where we're headed helps.
[action]
[ if she is honest, she had always loved charity but tending to the ill has never been a particular aspiration of her. it would have to be however and she would be grateful for it.
at least on the outside.
she follows her as they walk and smiles ]
oh, how beautiful. is it like a dream? to be able to fly these?
[action]
Her eyes glaze over with a slightly faraway expression. ] I miss the wind.
[ And she stares out into space as if one can miss wind palpably. ]
[action]
[ she smiles a little, places a hand on her shoulder ]</small we shall both have those again, I am certain of it. Wind and sun and open spaces.
[action]
Well, this smile is rather fond. ] I'd like to see those with you.
[action]
[ she really is tired of the masks ]
[action]
[ This smile likes the current scenery just fine. Course, Haruka's also not looking out the window anymore. ]
