» 4th lemoncake

Who: sansa stark and you!!
Broadcast: video -- fleetwide
Action: blue fish and iskaulit
When: today

Fellow travelers, [ how else is she meant to greet them?

today, the network flickers to life and its image frames sansa's face with an almost rehearsed precision. by now, the last licks of dye have left her hair. she is fully auburn once again -- and the rich copper strands, a colour inherited from her mother, are carefully braided and arranged in a style that would have taken time even with a helping hand. how long did it take her alone, one wonders? and she's wearing silk, to boot. ]

Begging your pardons -- but has anyone ever found lemons at any of our stops? Any of the way-stations? [ all this polish for such a childish, innocent question. ] At first, I was grateful enough for the false lemon flavours the Atroma give us -- but just once, I'd like to taste the real thing again.

[ she seems about to end the feed, but: ] Or if anyone has any lemons in their pantry, I would pay for a few. I have some credits put by -- [ sheepish, because it isn't her place to be discussing coin. ] Or mayhaps I could barter with some embroidery. My stitches are very neat. I promise.

[ otherwise, member of the blue fish could find her in her quarters while working quietly. at a later hour, she finally does something bold and takes a shuttle (all alone!) to the iskaulit, where she searches out the gardens. she wants to see green again. she wants to dream of summer. sansa crouches to touch a leaf -- heedless of the way her silk trails on the garden's ground floor. ]

[ Even Theon himself had been offered masks the minute he stepped foot on the moon. The prices were dirt cheap, too. He isn't sure what Sansa is trying to avoid, but lacking a mask is hardly an excuse. ]

Robb wouldn't let you go without. What are you frightened of?

You didn't answer my question.

[ Sometimes, he's sharper than he comes across. ]

[ There's a touch of cruelty behind almost everything Theon says these days, but it stems from a place of bitterness, not a place of hatred. ]

Perhaps it was asked in curiosity.

[ He never was especially close to Sansa, but there really is some concern in his question. He's never known Sansa to distance herself so far from others. Surely the change hasn't gone over her siblings' heads either. ]

You wanted something badly enough to ask for it. It would have been far easier to leave the ship and search for it yourself.

[ He's growing irritated with her stubbornness. In some regard, he understands. Sansa is a lady and has always been provided with almost anything she asks for. In another regard, there's something different about this. She skirts around his questions, throws out vague excuses, and overall seems set on not budging. It's strange. ]

Oh, yes indeed. The epitome of kindness.

[ Sarcasm. He hasn't been met with kindness, but that's his own fault. Where Sansa is gracious and proper, Theon is arrogant and angry. Apparently people don't like that. ]

I wonder if you've been to see any of your brothers in person.

Have you? Or have they been the ones to travel to see you?

[ In a way, he might be trying to touch a nerve. He's skilled at that, but he truly is curious as to what's made Sansa this way. ]

[ There's something about that which truly hurts more than it should. Perhaps it's the stinging reminder that he's always been an outsider, but Sansa's words actually get him to fall silent for a beat while he tells himself that he was never a Stark. They were never his family and they have no true ties to him.

When he speaks again, there is venom in his words.
]

Well, it looks as though you'll never have to leave, then. It's all worked in your favor.
