» 4th lemoncake

Who: sansa stark and you!!
Broadcast: video -- fleetwide
Action: blue fish and iskaulit
When: today

Fellow travelers, [ how else is she meant to greet them?

today, the network flickers to life and its image frames sansa's face with an almost rehearsed precision. by now, the last licks of dye have left her hair. she is fully auburn once again -- and the rich copper strands, a colour inherited from her mother, are carefully braided and arranged in a style that would have taken time even with a helping hand. how long did it take her alone, one wonders? and she's wearing silk, to boot. ]

Begging your pardons -- but has anyone ever found lemons at any of our stops? Any of the way-stations? [ all this polish for such a childish, innocent question. ] At first, I was grateful enough for the false lemon flavours the Atroma give us -- but just once, I'd like to taste the real thing again.

[ she seems about to end the feed, but: ] Or if anyone has any lemons in their pantry, I would pay for a few. I have some credits put by -- [ sheepish, because it isn't her place to be discussing coin. ] Or mayhaps I could barter with some embroidery. My stitches are very neat. I promise.

[ otherwise, member of the blue fish could find her in her quarters while working quietly. at a later hour, she finally does something bold and takes a shuttle (all alone!) to the iskaulit, where she searches out the gardens. she wants to see green again. she wants to dream of summer. sansa crouches to touch a leaf -- heedless of the way her silk trails on the garden's ground floor. ]

I have not heard of that. I... truthfully, I don't ask much of others about their homes.

[She kept to herself. Perhaps she was afraid of getting close to these people?]

I wish I knew more of our home, instead.

[Because honestly she feels like such an outsider and it makes her stomach knot up. Ser Barristan had told her things of home but meeting the Starks, seeing first hand that they truly belonged to Westeros, no matter how the Lannisters had tried to destroy their house as they had done her own... she felt lost.]

I have heard some from Ser Barristan Selmy but I find hearing stories and seeing are two different things. I can only imagine the warm airs in Highgarden or the summer snows of the North. You have lived there. I envy you that, Lady Stark. You have your own stories to tell of home and I have traveled from place to place, not staying for long in most.

You knew him in King's Landing?

[Well surely that was the case because of the poor girl being held captive.]

His tales were more truthful than wonderful. He told me stories of my father's reign, how he descended into madness. He was afraid that I would be no different.

[And she tried her best to stay the course, to always do good by her people. It was not easy when often she wanted justice that called for blood.]

Then I should count myself lucky that the Lannister boy was a fool. He has counseled me to the best of his ability. I only regret that you remained in King's Landing instead.

[Which... technically Tyrion filled her in on that one not Sansa directly but they had spoken so little it was small wonder.]

I am sorry, for what they did to you. I can only imagine.

[Though she'd come close to experiencing their cruelty when Robert Baratheon had sent poisoned wine to her doorstep with a merchant.]

No one... save for perhaps the Lannisters themselves... no one should have to experience so much in their lifetime. I- I don't know what you experienced but I can't imagine it was any better than what was done to my brother's wife and children. Though, you are alive. You survived it.
