[The broadcast doesn't switch on while Nami is still sleeping, but it does decide to catch the moment when she practically launches off the bed with a banshee screech and then tumbles to the floor blankets and all, a tangle of material and bare limbs flailing in a pathetic heap.]

[The only one who can inhale a blanket corner, apparently. 8| Please hold, spluttering. She eventually flips the blanket back to show a mess of orange hair, smoothing it dazedly behind one ear-- and then freezing as she swipes at thin air beneath that.]

I go to sleep for two weeks and we're still in this crappy place? Tell me there's a bright side somewhere. And I guess I owe a bunch of shifts at the bar or something.

In a way. He's made of rubber, so he does all kinds of weird things. Blowing himself up like a balloon is just one.

Hmm. Given that, maybe I'm the most normal person actually on the sea. Pirates are pretty eccentric all round. At best.

Considering we all live on ships already, I'm surprised there aren't more pirates in the fleet. Interesting people make for good drama, don't they?

They do, but most pirates are out and out scum. Maybe the Atroma weigh up the possible good drama against how much disruption they'll get and decide against it.

That being said, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing any of my crew turn up.

A sentiment that most people would share around here, I'm guessing. I mean, I definitely do. You get used to it, but...

I guess I'm glad for the visit home, even if it ended with cliff jumps. It's the first time I've seen some of them for over a year.

Honestly, I'm a little jealous. Even if circumstances aren't ideal, the chance to see people from home...

How long has it been for you?

About eight months, now. Not quite a year, but getting there faster than I'd like.

I was at another place like this one before I came here... I hadn't seen most of them for over a year. I have another friend who at least came over from the other place, though. So it's not quite so lonely.

I hope you get to see someone soon. Even if it's temporary.
