[Late in the afternoon; after the party Vash turns his communicator on. His words slur slightly as the mask he was wearing is half pushed up his face and his hair a disheveled mess. Someone clearly slept in their clothes last night.] Wow! This planet sure know how to throw a party! They weren't kidding about partying so hard you don't want to move for awhile after.

It's so good seeing how optimistic these people are. The situation they found themselves in isn't one they may have hoped for, but they've made a great life out of it and get along so well with each other. It's... wonderful.

[Is that the last bit of booze speaking? Knowing Vash? No, he's just feeling mooshy.] Oh! And Nami! I have your money that I borrowed! If you're free I'll bring it to you later. Ugh, after breakfast... lunch? Dinner? What time is it?

[Vash will spend the rest of the day resting and eating. However, eventually he will venture out into the fog for fresh donuts. It's as he's walking back with a box full that he spots someone out of the corner of his eye.] Rem!? [He knew the warning, but it still startled him enough that the box falls from his hand as he turns to get a better look. Of course, it is only a memory he had been thinking of and the figure dissipates back into fog. It's then he realises what he saw and just smiles softly.]

What?! [For a moment he visibly sputters.] Of course not! [Technically it was the destruction that followed him. The law enforcement was an after effect.] It wasn't from law enforcement.

[Grin.]

Right. So girls it is. Very violent, very loud girls, from the sounds of things. How very trying for you.

[He pictures Meryl for a moment and let's out a long sigh.] Some of them are.

That actually sounded honest. Did you owe any of them money?

Nope! Besides, I payback my debts! [He digs into his pocket for an envelope full of the credits he needed to pay back. At first he wasn't planning on just handing over the whole thing in the bar, but seeing it was empty it seemed alright now.

And it might get the topic off of him. Or at least the parts he's not sure he really wants to talk about.] As you can see! Every credit counted for!

[She snatches the envelope up with a gleeful noise, flicking through the credits. She's not gonna be offensive and count every single one, but she doesn't need to; Nami knows the weight and value of money in her hands.]

Pleasure doing business with you, Vash~!

[He wouldn't have been insulted if she did, but Vash is honest in that it was all there.] As much as a pleasure as it was, I hope it never needs to happen again where everyone's account gets frozen.

No, that's no fun for anyone. But I can guarantee you that if it happens once, it'll happen again.

Put some credits aside, just in case.

Always do. Only next time maybe I won't offer to buy as many people an expensive dinner. A cheap lunch maybe.

It wasn't all bad though. I did get to talk to some interesting people I hadn't had a chance to talk to before. So at least it wasn't a complete loss.

Thanks! I would've been embarrassed to tell them I couldn't buy dinner without the loan. [Because obviously that is what Nami is saying you're welcome for and not ANYTHING else. Vash completely doesn't believe that, but will act like he does.]
