[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

Charles made it sound like he wanted to do it here and when I said there was only one young mutant here [not herself] he didn't seem daunted. So, maybe he'd like to help out anyone who hasn't gotten fully comfortable with their powers.

I'm comfortable. There are just a lot of little failsafes I have to keep up with.

It's not that. [She would tell Kara. She did. But she knows her past always ends with "and then everyone died" so it makes it hard to tell the good bits without giving more context and she doesn't always want to be the girl who brings things down.]

He's the one who killed me, so he's not usually a fun topic of conversation anymore.

It's fine. I mean, it's not fine. It's pretty messed up, but it's not recent. I'm okay. [Or at least any not okay she's feeling is coming from different directions right now.]

Then it's even more remarkable that you and Winn found each other.
