[Cheese appears on the screen with a wide grin and a wave of his hoof.]

Hey everypony!! Today is a super duper awesome day! It's Pinkie Pie's birthday! I know she's pretty new to the Fleet and all, but I've thrown her a little shindig and I'm sure she'd love as many of you lovely folks if you could show up. She will for sure pay it back in kind when your celebrations come up. I mean, if you think I'm a good party planner, you wait til you see her.

So yeah! If you wanna come celebrate her birthday, come on down to the Iskaulit. I'm gonna be bringing her over at about seven. It's gonna be a surprise!!

[Action: Iskaulit]

[And those coming aboard the Iskaulit will find glitterly arrows stuck to the walls, leading them to the room where Cheese has set up the "little shindig". There are balloons and streamers everywhere, bunting and banners hangs from the ceiling - all bearing the face of the aforementioned pink pony. Food tables stand to one side, filled with delicious (but vegetarian) dishes, while another table holds more deserts and treats than you could ever imagine. The center-piece is a birthday cake which seems to be in the shape of an aligator. But Cheese isn't actually that great at the culinary arts despite his name, so it's kind of hard to tell.

Regardless, it's clear a lot of effort has gone into this, and the theme PINKIE IS GREAT is perhaps a little too obvious. But this is what happens when you put others on pedestals. Time to party like they're not on a bunch of spaceships trapped in a reality TV show for the rest of time. Woooo!]

[Finn only has a vague concept of birthdays, but Pinkie's definitely his friend so he's made it a point to show up. He's there precisely fifteen minutes early and is clearly impressed by the decorations.

Nobody told him about birthday presents, though, so he didn't bring anything. Oops.]

[Pinkie was a liiiittle better at remembering her birthday this year than last year, but frankly, she hadn't expected TOO much of a celebration. After all, it's not like any of these strange new creatures knew her birthday, she doesn't REALLY remember telling Cheese hers, and it'd be kinda weird to throw her own party.

But then Cheese comes a-knocking on his shuttle, and says he's got a surprise ready for her. Honestly, just somepony remembering her birthday was present enough, but Pinkie's REALLY excited when that blindfold goes around her eyes and they start heading off to who knows where, but it's GOTTA be exciting!

Once the blindfold comes off and she hears that "SURPRISE!!!"... if she weren't so happy she'd be crying right now. For now, she settles for giving Cheese a HUGE thank-you hug.]

Cheese, this is AMAZING! THANK you! Thank ALL you guys!

[And it's time for the birthday girl to mingle with her guests!]

[Finn isn't exactly what anyone would call used to parties, but he feels like he did well enough at the masquerade that he can handle a smaller birthday party for his newest crewmember.]

Happy birthday! [Is it rude to ask how old she is? It's probably rude.] Hope you have a good year, wherever it takes you.

[Oh, she's fine about the age question! (But good luck ever getting a straight answer when the canon won't, heheheh!)

For now, though, hugs should work fine as a gift, especially sine she's giving him one now.]

Aw, thanks, Finn! And it's DEFINITELY gonna be a good one, making so many good friends!

[Cheese grins like a lunatic, returning that hug. Seeing Pinkie happy makes the universe a much better place to be in. It makes him happy in return, bringing back that warm, fuzzy feeling that overtook him as a colt, pointed him towards his own destiny. ]

I'm glad you like it, Pinkie. You deserve a fun time.

[Well the flow of fuzzies is DEFINITELY mutual right now.]

Aw, Cheese~! This is DEFINITELY a fun time! I didn't think I'd get to CELEBRATE it much today! THANK you so much, Cheese!

[His smile softens a little. ]

Oh wow, these decorations are AMAZING! And that food and that CAKE! I don't even know what to check out first!

Thanks! I know I'm not as good a baker as you, and the guy who used to make my cakes left. Still, I hope it still looks like Gummy. It does, right?

Are you kidding, it looks JUST like him! And I can't wait to see what's INSIDE either!

[Plus really, while she's had LOTS of baking experience, his fine art decorations are WAY nicer than hers! Dat banner and dat ice sculpture!]

If you ever want my help making cakes, feel free to call me up! That augment taught me engineering instead of cooking with all this new stuff, but I certainly don't mind practicing~

[ Haruka is mostly here because, being the kind of person who doesn't pay attention to the network, she isn't sure whether this "Pinkie Pie" person is also a pony or not.

So when she slips into the party and counts not one but two small horses among the attendees, she hides a smile. What are the odds...

She is also being a Terrible Partygoer and Not Mingling. Gasp. Horrific. ]

[In fairness, he's good enough not to just turn up and scare the shit out of the little ponies.

He remembers Cheese saying something about timber wolves hunting and eating them, so he comes in low and not trying to be silent, but there's noise and scents and he's curious.

And sneezes when he gets a nose full of over sugared air. Which is not subtle, because Bigby is HUGE. Casually eat a person whole big.]

Aww man! I want to go to a party! What's the Iskavault, anyway? [TALON....

Upside: You can at least tell he's still on the Marsiva, its vast hallways stretching out behind him in the video.]

[Finn looks briefly concerned about how he's supposed to hug her back, but it only takes a little shifting around to work and he gives her a quick but strong embrace.]

So this is the kind of thing you meant when you said you were a party planner, huh?

[Well, you know who can fix that? The birthday mare~]

[And then she turns her head to meet the sneezer and... okay yeah he DOES look like a furry timber wolf, but one of her best friend has a big old grizzly as a friend and it's... not like these Atroma would drag something from their world that would eat everybody on the ship, right.

So he gets a surprised blink, but her smile stays on for now.]

Yeah, it is~! I throw parties for EVERYPONY in Ponyville! Cheese is a party planner too, he travels all OVER the place throwing parties! Hee, we even met throwing a birthiversary party for my friend Rainbow Dash! That was a REALLY fun party after the career crisis and the Goof-Off!

[Finn quints, trying and mostly succeeding in following most of that.]

Is a--birthiversary--different from a birthday?

Heeheehee, Rarity made that one up, since it was Rainbow Dash's birthday AND the anniversary of the day she moved to Ponyville!

[Finn nods and then looks thoughtful.]

Maybe that's what I should do. Celebrate the anniversary of when I got here, once that happens. Even if I knew how to convert the calendar from home, I--uh, that is, it probably wouldn't line up right. For birthdays.

[CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!]

Oh my gosh, a WHOLE other world's calendar?! Eeeeee that's so cool~! So many birthdays and holidays and hoedowns and festivals and parties! Ooooh you've GOTTA show me that calendar when we get back to The Caprine, pretty pretty please~~~~?

[Now THAT is some enthusiasm for her job.]

[Finn ducks his head, a little embarrassed.]

I never--that is, we didn't have a whole lot of holidays, but I bet Poe knows some. [Nobody wants to celebrate Empire Day. Nobody. Maybe Battle of Endor Day. And--what other days are there?]

--Never asked him when his birthday was. Maybe I ought to do that. You could help me with a party?

[Empire Day is worst day.]

Could I?! I'd LOVE to! And when's YOUR birthday, I should learn EVERYBODY'S birthdays so nobody gets left out!
