[ She steps around him, moving to move her chair out of the way so that she can sit in it, as closer as the corner as she can get herself to without it looking too strange. ]

I do not know how much you should take, not without the aid of the ship.

[ He's rummaging through the bottles, looking for names he knows. ]

Usually it's one or two pills. I should be able to figure it out if I can find one I'm familiar with.

[ Which is her way of saying 'nice to meet you, too'. She steps forward, looking at the pills with a dark expression. ]

The ones near the back are for healing.

[ He reaches farther back and sure enough, finds antibiotics and painkillers. The painkillers are what he was looking for and heedless of dosage he takes two out of the bottle, swallowing them dry. Then he's turning back to the girl, curious as to why she's the lab specialist. She doesn't seem too excited about her job. ]

Were you a healer back home or something?

I was taught the use of herbs in healing. I learned to use them to aid, but also to kill.

[ So, no, not a healer, and her job here is hardly one she wants to do. The fact that she cannot touch anyone nor feel the strange herbs and medicines in her hands means that she feels an outcast again before she has even begun. ]
