halls;
Winter stands there, his shoulders squared and fists clenched. He's not ready for a fight, but he's not exactly warmed up to him being on the Starstruck unexpectedly. ]
Steve.
[ A curt nod. Steve can be thankful, at least, that he manages to at least look healthier than he did the last time they saw each other. Amazing what a routine has done. Positive interactions, too. ]

[ he is still mapping out winter's connections to people on the fleet. it's not an effort done in order to pry, it was mainly done so steve could understand, could know he found solace in. there is a ping of something that's almost envy but beyond that, there is a sense of comfort in knowing there are people this man can connect to even if they are not himself. ]

[ he says this gently, as if to say i'll always be around but not as a warning but rather as a - notice. maybe it's a good thing. if he can't reach winter on his own, maybe peggy's help will be necessary. ]
I said yes.

It's a good ship. [ There's a dog, Steve. A dog. ]

[ and yes, there's a - dog which steve finds both endearing and odd at the same time. the oddity of this little small talk, on a space ship, playing a role in a reality show and with Winter here and Peggy in the next room, strikes him all of the sudden and he's not sure whether this is entirely heartbreaking or possibly a good thing. ]
You could go see her. I was going to find the treadmill.
