[If anyone ever had a doubt that Tyrion Lannister likes to keep himself occupied, today would be the day that he put all doubts to rest. His fingers flick against the side of his camera as he is reaching for a book. Which is good, because he's got three open now. He frowns at one paragraph, then pushes off with his chair - with wheels, fascinating things these.

Then he was picking up a screwdriver, turning to a tank that looked a great deal like the displays at the Green Museum, twisting a brace into place, eying it, then rolling back across the floor to check on the panels for the engine. He picked up a clipboard, put down the screwdriver and exchanged it for pencil while he marked off a few things on a list, then pushed himself off to roll back to his desk, where he flipped a page on his second book, muttering quietly to himself.]

[He tapped the page, then pushed off again to his work-table, where a variety of weapons were lying on the surface, and plucked up the bow.] Yes, all right, that means I just need to change the density of the string and curve the bow a little more for the right amount of pressure per inch... good, good.

[He hummed as he put the bow back down, and reached underneath for his toolbox, singing softly to himself as he went through the varying strings he had gathered for said bow.]

What do they think you did to your nephew? [Did she hear this story already? Did it get erased by the wine? She didn't have that much, but they did cover a lot of ground.]

They think I murdered him - with poison. As if I would have poisoned that little mongrel ... if I wanted to destroy Joffery, all I would have had to do was tell him he wasn't really King. [A faint snort.] I just did not hate my siblings enough at that point.

[She's heard enough about the boy to skip any condolences.] Why wasn't he really king?

Because he was not Robert Baratheon's son. [And Tyrion was going to leave it at that, unless she pushed.]

But he thinks he is? [Of course she'll push, but she doesn't even know what she's pushing at the moment. The complicated tapestry that is politics and relationships in Westeros is not easily understood in bits and pieces over a variety of different conversations with different people.]

Most of Westeros believes so, yes. [He, at least, knew better.]

So, his wife, your sister, cheated on him with someone else? [She looks at him for confirmation.]

That is correct. To be fair, Robert cheated on her with half of the serving girls in Westeros, so in that, she was at least justified.

How do you know for sure he's not the king's? Or former king's. Doesn't seem like you'd have DNA testing back home.

Oh ... trust me. I know. [In a way that only a brother can know his siblings dirty little secrets.]
