[ It's another glorious day in the mortal realm, or as close to it as one can get when they're adrift in space. And you know what? Eris isn't even bothered that she's been summoned there despite the impossibility of it all. The fleet is just teeming with all sort of calamitous potential. So many people at odds with themselves, riddled with guilt or greed or doubt.

Pawns ripe for her to manipulate and lead to their untimely destruction.

Now that she's no longer confined to the Marsiva Eris can move about freely as she pleases, drifting from ship to ship with a mere thought. The Huntress, Tourist, Red Fish, Blue Fish...any ship is fair game to her and so is anyone. So the big question is...what exactly is your character doing? ]

[ ooc; if you haven't seen or filled it out, here is her permissions! Eris will be creeping and/or flirting on your character like hella if you tag in, be warned. ]

[ The melancholic tone suits Eris just fine. In fact she likes it much better than anything grand or peaceful, which is why she doesn't choose to "haunt" Makie as she has others of the ship. Eris takes form by means of a mess of shadowy tendrils knitting themselves together as she "strolls" forward into the room, a hand on her hip. ]

Not bad. Have anything more chaotic?

[...okay, well that was unexpected. Her startlement shows in one note being held too long and the brief widening of her eyes, but after a scant moment of glancing at the new guest-- most definitely not human-- Makie continues the bar of music to its end before stilling the strings.]

I suppose it would depend on what you believe chaotic to be. [She inclines her head.] I could certainly attempt a piece more to your preference.

[Apparently her politeness extends to suddenly visiting supernatural women. There's a faint guardedness to her, but that has more to do with the abrupt manner of Eris' entrance than any perceived threat.]

[ Honestly it's nothing at all she's unused to. She always does like to make the mortals she comes across uneasy. Inspiring terror is fun and all, but that's more fun to watch from a vantage. Screaming and yelling is less fun when she's actually there for a purpose. ]

[She smiles faintly, lifting the shamisen to place it in her lap more formally as she tucks her feet beneath her.]

As you wish, my lady.

[She takes a breath and stills, shoulders back, and begins to play. ~~Minus the Japanese commentary~~ Questions about who this woman is can wait. She's in no real hurry.]

[ Excellent. That's a much more appropriate beat, though even still she'd like something more fitting to accompany the climax of battle when the hero is about to be overcome. That's the sort of melody she likes best.

Besides screams of terror anyway. ]

[She...thinks her mystery guest is pleased. Bizarrely this isn't the first time a random person has just shown up in her quarters and requested a song. None quite so creepily appearing as Eris, however.]

Today is a shuffle day. Have you come to join our crew, or are you just visiting?

Oh, you know how it is. [ Obviously Makie doesn't, if she's asking. But Eris will treat her as if it's the most normal thing in the world. ] Every once in a while you just have to see things up close, and before you know it...

[She smiles faintly, fingers curling around the neck of her instrument.] My last curious visitor was a small child. Have you found anything to your interest in your travels?

[There's no Japanese equivalent to Eris that she knows of, but anyone proclaiming to be the Goddess of Discord is someone to be cautious with.]

I had wondered if this place, too, would be powerful enough to ensnare a Goddess. Unless, of course, you're just visiting of your own accord.

Well...I do like to check in on things every now and again. [ Mostly to ruin them and set horrid events in motion, but there you go. ]

When I first met him, he also styled himself as the God of Chaos. But I imagine he comes from a different realm to yours.

Seeing as how I'm the only God of chaos...I'd say so. [ But now she's curious about this Mr. Loki fellow. ]

[The only God of chaos in your world, Eris. That's what she thinks. But Makie isn't in the habit of being rude about such things.

She wonders what a meeting between two such chaos Gods would be like.]

Have you been to the Iskaulit in your travels? I understand there are some varied forms of entertainment there, at least by human standards.

[But that being said, yes, she'll play another song. If this is the only thing Eris demands of her, it's better than what she got at Loki's hands.]
