Oh. [The sound of him examining the remainder of the paste in the tube.] There's a lot of it left. I only used a little, like the instructions say.

[He laughs.] Then I'm sure you'll be fine. Worst you'd probably get if you ingested a lot is probably an upset stomach or something.

Don't feel sick or anything, do you?

[He shakes his head, forgetting it can't be seen through the device.]

No. [Pause.] Only a little bit, in my throat. It feels like I haven't had enough water.

That could be because of the toothpaste.

[He shrugs.]

Wouldn't worry much about it. Sure most of us have swallowed a bit of that stuff at some time or other.

[That comforts him. Clearly this man is still alive in spite of it.]

It's difficult not to. The mint makes me sneeze.

[He almost laughs, imagining it, but he stops himself. Wouldn't be good to laugh at a kid. Though he can't help but think it's also something he could've imagined Van doing, years ago. Idiot probably did. Or swallowed more than he should on purpose.]

Allergic?

They have different flavors besides the mint stuff. [Not that they're much of any good. But it's something different.] Might help with that.
