...she's amused despite herself at that attempt. For a while it might feel like she either didn't pay attention or that's not the issue.

[Oh, it's fine enough translation. She wouldn't have bothered unless she had a way to circumvent it into some half-truth. Sure, not a few pats, but just one -- that's a 'yes' enough. He frowns, brows wrinkled. Does he need to kick someone right on the ass for you, Katie?]

[He is relieved to some degree, that she's at least not hurt. But then, it still leaves the fact that someone seriously freaked Katie out. Not an easy feat. He sighs quietly.]

She isn't sure. It's not a question she can answer, and she can't...answer it anyway, really. That's too complicated for paw-patting games. She digs her claws in just deep enough to prick, not enough to really hurt, and stares up at him finally, giving him a pathetic kind of mewl. I dunno Sam, this is hard. :(]

Maybe when I'm tired and take a nap, someone can leave a list of all the people on the ship who aren't scaring little kids around here. It won't narrow it down much, but it's a start.

[She gives a little huff of air. If she were human, it might translate to a snort of amusement. That, she can do.

For now, she'd really rather just. Not go home, and curl up and feel just a little safer right here, if that's okay.

When he does nap, or otherwise turn his attention away for long enough, you can bet she'll leave him a note. Sasha is a vampire. Which might seem like a remarkably clear statement, until you factor certain habits into account.

Is she saying that Sascha isn't a vampire? Or is he something more than a vampire...? Whatever the case, he'll seek her out, make sure she's alright, and devise some kind of way to look into Sascha a little more. If it's enough to scare someone who's fae, it's plenty enough to concern him.]
