[Ahsoka is wandering around outside with her usual air filtration mask on, but something is different-- obviously different. This isn't the sixteen-maybe-seventeen year old girl of yesterday. This is a pre-teen. And she seems lost.]

... Skyguy? ... Master Kenobi? I know you guys are around! You can come out now...! "Prank the padawan" isn't funny any more...

[She shudders.] This planet is giving me the creeps.

[The video is simple: a young, familiar alien graces the screen, except... something's off. Way off. It's not just that her clothes are different-- she's shorter, horns smaller, too. When she talks, her voice is more high pitched, and the cadence different too. Less... calm.]



Hey! Is everyone just okay with the fact that we can't go outside without air filters?! What sort of condition is this for people to live in? What's being done to help the local inhabitants? Or move them off-world?

[ She can't dispute that, honestly. Padme leads the way to the Heron. Her pace is faster than usual, though the urgency in her movements isn't from suspected danger. ]

What's the most recent thing you remember just before you got here?

Anakin and I were just finishing up a mission and we got a communication from the Temple giving us another deployment... [That would be right. No rest for Jedi. But she doesn't know if that'll mean anything to Padmé, so she amends:]

The last time I saw you was-- last week, after we came back from Alderaan together. Right? [She isn't so sure anymore.]

[ That aligns a little more closely with her personal timeline. At least they both have the same frame of reference.

She leads them to her office. A plaque outside the door bears her name with "counselor" written in smaller letters underneath it.

Once the door slides shut, she feels a little more comfortable. Padme crosses the room and sits on the couch, gesturing for Ahsoka to sit as well. ]

Right now, we're both part of a fleet controlled by a group called the Atroma. Everyone has been brought here against their will. What's more, the Atroma have somehow abducted people from different galaxies and [ oh boy. ] different times. I had tea with you about a month before I was pulled here. But for Anakin and Obi-Wan, the same event would have happened two and a half years in their past.

[ That's not nearly as clear as she was hoping for it to be, but is there really a good way to explain time displacement? ]
