We tried that at home, nothing I did seemed to slow him down enough for us to nail the bastard down.

--- we never tried cold. I mean, it worked on Barry, it slowed him down but then I installed a heating option on his suit in case someone every try to ice him again. Though back on Earth 2, Caitlin's doppleganger from hell iced him and that seemed to work for a while but it's never something permanent and he's fast enough to walk through most walls.
