Why, thank you. I was going for a 'smokey' look, but I believe I simply got 'charred' which is fine enough, I suppose. Nothing's perfect.
It's certainly better than the same plain white walls all over, it's like being in a brighter solitary confinement, except the door actually opens which makes it better, but so will this.
[He gestures to the walls.]

I'm rather fonder of the charred look, it has a sort of character you can't really find in the smokey look.

Ah, yes, I can see what you mean now that you mention it. Yes, I think I like charred much more. Charred or smokey, however, I think you'd agree with me that they both have much more character than the icy look or whatever such nonsense.
