[ It's some of the most earnest, blunt, and aggressively kind information Bigby's ever told him. His personality's too weak to just hop on board with it, but he takes note of the "friends don't care" and knows Bigby doesn't care... Maybe Ino was right; maybe he doesn't need to say something aloud in order to have friends.

Sascha fidgets with the meat in his hands, happily. ]

...Okay.

Good.

[And with that, Bigby's done talking and shifts up a bit so he can start ripping with his teeth.]

.... [ It's a silence Sascha for once won't break, a fond sort of look crossing his features as he turns back to his own meal. His fangs won't actually extend down until he bites into his hunk of meat and the pressure stimulates them, but within a moment or two he'll be tearing into his food alongside Bigby happily. ]

[They sit and eat in silence for a while. Bigby doesn't talk when he's eating, not so much ingrained manners as years of being more interested in eating than talking to empty space.]

[ It's become comfortable and routine by this point, Sascha always waiting for Bigby to start first before he begins on his own. The quiet between them is nice, because he's honestly never really been able to share a meal with anyone before considering his diet. It's nice, and it's a moment he spends in the company of someone like him which is the most important part.

And it's probably why, after a few moments of this? Sascha pauses between bites and looks over at Bigby. ]

....I like you.

[ It's just a statement, soft-spoken and a little thoughtful--but. He realizes he's never told Bigby that before, not directly, and in this moment it feels like...he's not sure. It's just what comes out. ]

[Bigby glances up when he's spoken to, but he didn't actually expect that. He knows Sascha likes him. It's apparent in his behaviour, but he still never actually expected to hear it.

People don't like Bigby. He's not likeable. Even Snow and Blue don't like him, they just accept what he is and what he does for the town.

He tilts his head slightly and settles for something safe.]

Idiot vampire.

[But there's a quirk of a smile in there.]

....Hehe♥ [ It's okay then. With just that fond nickname Sascha finds himself warm and fuzzy, happy, and he flashes a bright smile back in return.

Bigby isn't much for words, Sascha knows that by now. So even just this much from him with what's probably one of the closest things he's seen to an actual smile from the Fable is enough to reassure him--that was okay to say. And Bigby might just feel the same♥ ]

[Bigby doesn't use words.

He lets Sascha stay with him while he sleeps, curled in against his vulnerable belly where he's already suffered horrific trauma. He sleeps with him there.

That says more than words.]

[ More than they ever could, with Sascha being what he is. Which is why when he finishes his meat he doesn't move to reach for more or to even take up his shoulder piece again. He just rests his arms folded on the counter, and lies his head on top of them so he can smile softly and watch bigby as he eats. ]

[Bigby keeps eating but stops after a long moment of being watched, raising one eyebrow in a clear. What is Sascha doing, you strange creature, you?]

[ Loving you from afar like the giant dork he is♥ His face splits into a grin and he nuzzles his face into his arms in as best a shake as he can manage; there's no real reason, beyond simply wanting to watch Bigby and enjoy having him close. ]

[Bigby shakes his head, bemused more than anything and keeps eating until he's finished and then begins the delicate process of licking his fingers and claws clean.]

[ The first thing Sascha thinks when he does is, of course, that he wishes he could lick all that extra meaty juice off Bigby too. He has his own on his hands and shoulder bone to clean up when the mood strikes, but.

He doesn't though, just sighs with a happy sound and wishes the Fable liked to be touched as much as a human as when a wolf. It'd be fun to run his hands through hair rather than fur for a change. ]

How come you're always so nice to me?

[Bigby looks up.]

I'm not. I hit you, I yell at you, I kick you against walls, I make threats...

[ And yet the look Sascha sends him is still incredibly fond, endeared even. ]

You look after me. Don't you.

[Dammit, Sascha wasn't meant to clue onto that.]

Not like Kitty would. I'm not gentle. Or... nurturing.

[ Even someone as dense and air-headed as him will catch on eventually Bigby...it was only a matter of time. ]

I don't mind. You're you! And I like that. If you acted like Kitty it'd be weird, hehe.

[Even someone who works hard at not paying attention or thinking will clue on. It's a bit of a miracle it went on that long.

Bigby's a predator. So is Sascha. Nurturing doesn't come easily to either of them.

He huffs instead. It lacks the drama of when he does it as a wolf.]

[ It's still just as endearing, and once again that grin spreads on his cheeks. ]

Bigby?

[He grunts instead of responding, looking up from his cleaning.]

I like you. [ He says it again, honest and simple as he lifts his head a little to look at the wolf evenly. Because he doesn't just mean "I like being around you", it's "I like you for who you are" that he means to get across. ]

Yeah. You said.

[He nudges Sascha with his foot.]

Eat your bones.
