[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

Action

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

@#$!. If there's one thing they don't need for when this clears up, because it will and Ben knows it will, is for someone to try and take advantage of Loki while he's like this. Which. People would, cuz they're people and this Loki, while he ain't so stupid as to be outright evil in a fishbowl, kinda rubs people the wrong way. Little early for damage control since he doesn't know how deep this is or how long it'll last but-

Probably a good reason to not swing right in with video, craggy face and all. Give the guy a little time to adjust. ]

Some kinda moon, I think. You on your own out there?

[A pause as he looks around.] Yes, it seems I am quite alone.

Who are you?

[ Leto spots him on the Iskaulit. He hesitates. This is an augment glitch and it needs to play out as he has seen it. But Leto remembers vividly when he lost his memories and skills, how difficult it was to slot himself in with other people. There was that constant offness about him. ]

You seem very lost.

[He is very lost, perennially lost, and also smart enough to know that there are things going on he doesn't know and no one's really been telling him. It's not a nice feeling at all.

Though this is a vast improvement over the forest. He at least got here on his own and knows how to leave if he wants.

He turns to face the young man, immediately drawn to the striking eyes.]

I am, very.

[ Paisley isn't exactly bustling with activity when he finds Loki wondering about. They're on the same ship, it's not unusual. What's unusual is that he's ...poking around the kitchen like he's new here. Anakin raise a brow and follows his movements for a second.

Then he points to where James' stash of tea is. ]

The tea's over there.

[Startled, he looks up.]

Tea? [He wasn't looking for tea specifically, but okay. He grabs that and looks at it a bit uncomprehendingly.]

Do I like tea?

[...at some point he ought to ask this helpful fellow who he is, but he's a bit too lost at the moment.]

Oh.

[ A beat. He narrows his eyes slightly. Confusion everywhere ]

I thought you did...?

[Well, this is awkward. Another look at the container of tea, then at Anakin. The two are equally unfamiliar. But hey, if this guy knows he likes tea, then it's logical that...]

...so we know each other?

[ A wry laugh ]

We live together but I don't know about knowing each other. It's not like we sit and chat. [ A beat ] You called me a mortal once.

... Are you okay?

[A de-aged Ahsoka is hanging out with Anakin on the Paisley, and Loki's presence is strange to her indeed. She doesn't know exactly how to classify it, though, so instead she just reacts with a thirteen year old's natural curiosity.]

... What'cha looking for?

[It's not hostile, merely curious.]

Ben Grimm. [ Getting around to where Loki is might take some time- might as well keep talking. ] We're friends. Kinda. We're friendly.

[Mortal? What does that imply?] Isn't everyone mortal?

[He looks at the tea again.]

I... don't think that I am. I've no idea who you are. Or who I am.

[Another unfamiliar face, but they're all unfamiliar. He pauses in his perusal of the cabinet he's on.]

I don't know. Something familiar, I suppose.

Who are you? [It's a much easier question to ask than, who am I? he's discovered.]

What would you need to be less lost?

[ It's easier to pose that question than give unfettered responses. Answers Loki is not ready for. ]

Ben Grimm. [Repeated as if he's tasting the words. They're unfamiliar. But--]

If we are friends, can you tell me who I am, then?

[He stops to consider this.]

A name, a location, and a direction.

[Something in his brain tells him that it's not actually possible to know location and direction with the same precision, but does that count for people as it counts for elementary particles?]

I think. That would be a start. But then I would have more questions.

I will answer what I can. Your name is Loki. We are on the Iskaulit, a ship among the Fleet. As for a direction . . . where is it you wish to be?

I'm Ahsoka Tano. Anakin's padawan learner. Are you new here too, then?

Loki. [It doesn't feel familiar or unfamiliar. It's just a name. Well, at least he has a label for himself, now.] What Fleet?

I don't know enough to say where I might like to go. I'd be stumbling in the dark and it would mean nothing.

Who are you?

Hello, Ahsoka. It's very nice to meet you. What's a padawan? [He considers the next question.] I suppose so I am. What sort of place is this we've come to?

Nice to meet you too, sir...? [She's obviously fishing for a name.]

A padawan is like an apprentice! But it's a specific kind of apprentice. A Jedi one. [She says this with some pride.]

I don't really understand too much about it myself, but it seems like we're here to help fix the moon... right?

I... don't recall my name. It's very disconcerting. [He'd be a screaming mess if there weren't so many things around to distract him. He's as curious as a cat.]

Ah, an apprentice. But what is a Jedi, then?

[He considers this.] I woke up on the moon. It seems a rather frightful mess. Everything smells bad.

That's no good! You should pick one, then. All the troopers back home do it.

[Normally she'd be more surprised by someone not knowing what a Jedi is, but this guy seems disoriented, so she'll cut him some slack. Proudly:] A Jedi is a guardian of peace and justice in the galaxy.

And that's it, isn't it? We can't just leave people like that. That's no state to live in!

Troopers? Am I a trooper? [Maybe that explains it.]

Oh, that sounds very important. How does one become a Jedi?

It was... Very sad to see. I would like to see it better. [It felt so wrong...]

What? Oh-- I doubt it. All clone troopers look the same. [You know. By virtue of being clones.] You don't look anything like them.

Well, first you have to be strong in the Force! They test babies for it when they're young, and if they have the ability, they go to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to train and grow up. Then when you hit adolescence, you're apprenticed to a master!

Don't worry. This is the kind of thing Jedi fix all the time. We'll definitely put it to rights.
