So here's how it goes: you tell me anywhere you'd rather be but here, with the caveat that it can't just be a home. I think it's safe to say that home is a very understandable answer, but it's also a little too achingly realistic for my purposes. So pick somewhere else. Pick Ibiza. Pick Iceland, if you want.

I'll give you one shot at deescalation. Where would you choose to go other than home? Is it Iceland?

Versailles. [ again. but the rules didn't say anything about revists, and kate is sticking to her famous opera house theme. ]

Why there?

They've got this bad-ass opera house I'd love to visit.

You're into opera? And what makes an opera house badass? [No, she's ready to learn. Teach.]

The architecture, for one. But also -- all the best international opera houses employ some of the most skilled concertmasters. I'd love the chance to see them at work.

It was dance for me. [Oops. They weren't rich though. They were doing well, but not in a bracket you'd call rich.] Do you still play much?

Not like I used to. I tend to stick to the other bow, now.

Sorta seems so, doesn't it? But no. It's coincidence. I'm just as handy with a sword.

I can shoot a gun, if that's what you're asking. [ (one of the) world's greatest shots, afterall. ] I guess I just prefer not to.

Sure. I'm one of the few X-Men with weapons anyway. We're usually just, you know, our own weapon. [She doesn't mean this as a put down for not having powers. She's just not really thinking about it.] Kurt always carried swords though. Guns for his mom.

[ it's alright, darling. she's used to it. water off a duck's back.

but she does qualify: ] I mean -- don't get me wrong. I can be my own weapon, too. I didn't take jiu jitsu for years just to look awesome in a bikini.

It doesn't hurt though, right? [Kitty smiles.]

No, [ she laughs. ] It definitely does not.

[Smiling.] Logan taught me to fight. My power isn't exactly the most weapon-like at first sight. [It can do a lot of damage, but mostly just in super horrifying ways—phasing out internal organs, merging bodies into walls. Things you can't unsee or undo. The claws feel cleaner somehow.]

I dunno. I can imagine some pretty effective applications. Even without having seen the whole...phasing stuff with my own eyes, back home.

Well, if you end up back there you'll have to look up my counterpart for a team up. Not that you can't see phasing stuff with your own eyes here.
