Arthur's set up the Space bar with handmade decorations, streamers, and a sign that neatly spells out 'Happy Birthday, Syeira'. Of course there's the bar, where you can buy drinks. Nami's probably here somewhere to ask permission.

But there's also a beverage table, with neat little labels for the punch, water, and free alcoholic beverages. There's also a nice heap of finger foods: crackers, dips, sandwiches, whatever Arthur could trade for or buy for the party.

There's a table set up for card games, a small area for dancing to the music that's playing in the background, and some tables in the corners for the less sociable.

All bards and the musically-inclined are encouraged to play and sing. Heck, maybe you can get Syeira to sing for everyone!

Arthur's set up a game of passing the orange, too, because evidently he gets his party ideas from classic movies. For those unaware, you're supposed to form two lines, each line being a team. You have to start with the orange tucked under your chin, and must pass it to the next person, until the last person, no matter where the orange rolls to. What an excellent way to awkwardly meet someone!

Don't forget cake! How did Arthur manage to find enough ingredients for cake? Who knows, but it's just a small sheet cake, vanilla. He did his best. It tastes decent, at least.

And there's a pile of presents on a table in the corner. Maybe you should find the birthday girl and give yours to her.

He smiles and reaches up to ruffle her hair briefly before returning the hug, although he cannot quite help the initial stiffening in surprise when she does.

"I did not mind - you needed the release, and I am used to being a target for anger.

She's being turned into a hugger, little by little. He may have to start getting used to it.

"Being used to is doesn't mean you deserve it. And all the more reason for me to be more careful in the future."

"I wanted you too." He says firmly. "So you are not to feel guilty. Sometimes it is better to let such things out less they fester."

"So you were trying to goad me, huh?" Yes, she remembers the way he didn't listen when she told him to shut up. How he pushed and insisted, until she had no choice but to walk away.

"Not at first. And there was no lie in my words, nor my sentiments. But I pushed you, yes."

"You should be more cautious. What if I'd hit you?" She'd have eaten herself alive with guilt. That's what.

"But I appreciate the sentiment all the same, even if it didn't seem like it at the time."

"I wanted you to." He reminds her. "I can take a hit, little firehair."

"I know I maybe short, but I still hit pretty hard." She shakes her head, done with this line of conversation. "I'm glad you came."

"We will have to spar, sometime, and you can show me."

He smiles at her fondly. "I would not have missed it."

"I'd be happy to." It'd be nice to spar with someone other than Coil. Not that she doesn't enjoy their bouts, but fighting the same person over and over doesn't really keep a girl on her toes.

"I've never had one of these before, you know." Her smile is fond as well, and wistful. She's still very emotional about the entire event. Her first birthday. It's kind of a big deal.

"I am glad you get to have one here, then." He hums softly.

"I hope it is everything you dreamed it would be."

"I-" Hmm, this is strange to address, so it takes her a second to choose her words. "I never dreamed about one. It was never brought up really. Not until I was brought to the fleet."

His eyes gentle. "Then I hope this will be a memory to cherish, especially because it is new."

She doesn't glow like he and Finrod do, but at this moment, it seems as though she might start, just from pure joy.

"It already is. I can't recall the last time I was so happy." Best day of her life, honestly.

To him, she might as well be, with as happy as she is.

"Good." He hums, pleased. "I fear your gift will be a little delayed, but hopefully you will think it worth it."

She tugs on a stand of her hair and makes a face full of awkwardness, as she's struggles to hold in the words she's said to everyone that's given her a gift today.

The words win. She can't help it. "You know you don't have to give me anything."

"I know." He smiles at her fondly. "But I want to. After all - it is your birthday!"
