006 - action/voice; i came in like troy walking in with pizza

[You know, Clay hadn't been expecting a day like this. All he was doing was going to the Iskaulit to do some workouts in the gym, even bopping to a tune playing in his head.

Of course, that all comes a stop when he sees the mess before he sees anyone else. Blood trailing through the hallway, like someone had been walking with it. His stomach churns a bit, and his first instinct is to flee and get someone with medical help. Like Jennifer, or Beverly, or...

But no, he's here, and he... doesn't really realize just how bad it is yet. He returns to his shuttle first to grab the first-aid box, then heads in to see who needs his help.

And upon following the trail, well... Turns out, it's a lot worse than he thought it'd be, and that instinct from before comes back full force. He's only had some lessons, he's not prepared for this level of medical trauma, he really isn't -

And that's why he'll be calling out on the comms - not video, because there are kids on the network, but it's pretty clear by the state of his shaky voice that this is definitely an emergency.]

I-I need doctors - healers, medics -

[He takes in a deep breath - ]

I need all medical personnel to the Iskaulit right now!

[Oh, hey, that's Clay-- wait, wha... that... that sounds really really bad. Aaand a crewmate of hers should be on the Iskaulit at this time.]

Clay? Clay, what's wrong? Is Qing there? He said he was heading to the Iskaulit, and he's in lab support? Is he okay?

There are people hurt here, I don't know what happened -

[Ugh, there are too many "I don't know"'s about this. He's so not prepared for this kind of thing.]

Clay, what's going on?

He's human, short-ish but not as short as Tyrion, he's got long red hair and purple eyes, and he's wearing a really pretty dress!

How bad is it?

There are people hurt here, badly - Someone went on some kind of rampage or something -

I don't know what to do!

[He was trained in basic first aid, not something on this level.]

[Oh shit- and she knows how squirmy Clay is around blood, too.]

Do whatever you can, okay? Stay calm, I'm on my way. I've texted Simon too- he's the Bloodsport's doctor.

[He mentally takes note of who he should be looking for, but it still feels like Pinkie's a distant voice here. This looks so bad...]

Yeah, okay I'll - It's pretty bad. There's a lot of - [Blood, and he has no idea how to deal with it.]

Right... right, I'll do what I can. I'll do a - a... triage? [He probably didn't pronounce it correctly, but whatever, he's pretty sure that's the word he's looking for.] And see if anyone needs immediate help.

[He takes in a deep breath again]

There's already some injured in the hallway outside of the meditation room.

[People, blood, injuries, casualties, TALK TO HER, DUDE.]

Lot of what, Clay, what's going on, are you okay?

I'm already here. I know field level first aid-- you can send anyone to the bar that's capable of walking here on their own two feet. [She can probably cope with that much injury.]

If you could send one of the doctors my way at some point, that'd be great, but it's not critical. One of Winter's victims is a little girl. She's out cold.

[Guess how angry she is about this by the total flatness of her voice. Go on.]

[Okay, okay, take a deep breath. He's just freaking her out at this point.]

A lot of injured people, but we're going to take care of it. There are a lot of good doctors here who know what they're doing. As soon as I find Qing, I'll contact you.

[Oh no oh no oh no oh no.]

Y-yeah, please. A-and let me know if you need m-me there too...

What?

[Okay, yeah, that makes him angry too. He doesn't know Winter, doesn't know what caused this, but one of his victims being a little girl?

He wonders if it's Katie, and there's fret on top of the already sick feeling in his stomach, but he tries to keep that at bay. There's people who are in a critical state, and he knows whoever the girl is will be taken care of, and she's already in Nami's care.]

Okay... thanks for the help. I'll try to bring whoever can make it over to you.

[Good news Clay! There's one medic already on the scene!]

[Except he's bleeding. And unconscious. And from the looks of his location and the debris around him, looks like he got thrown through an empty shop front.]

[Oops.]

[ Hermione is on the case, straight away, and she breathes out a sharp noise before she settles herself in. ]

I'm on my way, and I'll bring everything I can from the lab. Let me know exactly where you are, Clay.

[ Never has she wished she had her Drabwurld healing powers so badly. ]

[It's unusual, seeing him even a little roughed up. In this case, it's more scrapes and scratches than anything - half of which he ended up giving himself in his attempts to flee from the Winter Soldier.

Maybe more strange is the lack of a smile on his face, replaced by a serious determination that echoes all the way up to his eyes.]

Breathe. Panic will cause chaos. [The first words out of his mouth are calm, gentle, and they set the tone for the rest of his commentary.] Something happened, somehow they put Winter back into his brainwashed mode. I'm still on the Iskaulit, not too far from the gardens, and if you can give me a general direction, I'll be there to help.

Pinkie. [She gets a small smile when the video feed comes up. Qing is a little battered, but barely bleeding.]

I'm okay, and I'll be here to help.

[Oh, perfect timing, she was just about to hang up and alert the crew.]

QING!

Oh my gosh, thank goodness you're okay, what HAPPENED?!

[DAMMIT BABE.

He'd been really hoping Allen would answer his call, half because he knows he's a good medic, and half because it'd let him know that he wasn't part of all this. But once he looks through the mess of the shop and sees who's inside, well - those hopes are certainly dashed right away.]

Allen!

[And next thing he knows, he's in a kneel down beside him, and... good, he's still breathing. That's one major relief, and it makes him let out a long breath that he didn't know he was holding in. Right. Priorities. Figure out how bad off he is, don't - don't let emotions get the best of him.]

Can you hear me? [He takes a look at his injuries and opens up his medkit, which is already running low on bandages.] Answer me if you can!

[The fact that a crewmate responded gives him double the relief - both that there's someone on the way and that she's safe.]

Thank you. I'm in the hallway - It's the one with the meditation room. Bring everything you can; there's a lot of injured people here.

[There's a bit of shakycam and scenery change as she gets into a shuttle.]

Yeah, that's right. Try not to move anybody unless they're in any immediate danger. How many patients can you see?

I've got my wand, and I've packed up the lab. I know enough magic to be able to help and anything my magic can't be used for I have my augment. It's the best I can do right now.

[ And she breathes out a noise, shoving things into her bag - and the camera jostles as she packs and harries herself. ]

Give me five minutes, okay?

[To smile more than he is stings the scrape on his cheek, but that's fine. He can worry about himself later, he's barely even injured.]

It's a little hard to explain. I don't know how it happened, but... a friend, [Calling him a friend, as little as they've really spoken... well, it's fine, isn't it?] one of our crewmates, had been brainwashed before.

I think... [He looks briefly troubled, remembering what he saw in Winter's calibrations - the cold of cryo, the constant brainwashing...] I think something caused him to revert back to that brainwashing. It seems like it's over now, but... a lot of people got injured. A lot of them worse than me.

[Ohhhh shoot. She's about to argue about the "friend" part... until the word "brainwashed" leaves his lips. That's... actually something she has some first-hoof experience with. (Thanks, Discord.) So she feels some mercy for him; poor guy, if he's snapped out of it he must feel HORRIBLE.]

Oh, wow... That sounds really bad. Is your friend okay? What about the others, how many are there? Do you need me to come help?
