[This is the second time in the span of seven days that Erik has had to pilot a shuttle while his vision isn't a hundred percent. It's almost a pattern, he thinks blearily to himself. Different causes, though. As the shuttle docks with the Blameless, he can't help but blow out a breath.

First step done. Now to get out.]

[Erik touches his fingers to Charles's hair when he chokes, and keeps them there until he settles.]

Today, you probably feel worse than that.

[He pauses, before continuing. Best to do this while Raven and Hank are out of the room.] If you do intend to try with Winter again, I want to be there.

[ His eyes flicker over Erik. ]

All right.

[grandstanding]

[He nods. He doesn't give a reason why - whether it's to be support, to ensure Charles's safety, to drop the entire ceiling on Winter if he snaps again. It's irrelevant. Charles can't manage this on his own and it would be foolhardy to try.]

[ Charles doesn't need to hear the reasons. Ultimately, he knows the reason for Erik being there was Charles himself. He sighs, running his fingers over Erik's neck. He can't reach too far, but Charles likes the contact, likes touching Erik and knowing he is there, especially with his telepathy fluctuating. ]

Get some rest, dearheart.

I have to wait for Hank to put a cast on me. But then I will.

[ He closes his eyes, a brief smile on his face. ]
