[This is the second time in the span of seven days that Erik has had to pilot a shuttle while his vision isn't a hundred percent. It's almost a pattern, he thinks blearily to himself. Different causes, though. As the shuttle docks with the Blameless, he can't help but blow out a breath.

First step done. Now to get out.]

How? Who were they?

My captain. A man named Winter. It wasn't his fault.

But something caused this to happen. Do you know what?

[ He glances at the ceiling. ]

Yes. The Atroma. They slipped into his head and made him regress to a time when . . . he had to follow orders.

( There's a pause, a chance for her to think on this. There was a lot more that Charles knew about this than Moira did - he knew the man, and perhaps even knew what was in his head, or the time when he'd had to follow orders. It's a little confusing not having all of the information, but Charles knows what he's doing )

Can he be pulled out of that?

[axiomed]

If I had a little more time, then yes.

[ It's certainly not something he's run into before. But with time and armed with hindsight, Charles knows that he could have done more. Should have done more.

He had gotten rusty. Let the old prejudices take shape and grip him tightly. He's never trusted himself, not after knowing that nobody trusted him.]

( Then that makes him a fool, thinking that nobody trusts him, and Moira would keep repeating that until she died. Keep repeating the good that he'd done - that his beliefs of a fair world weren't wrong. She believed in him - trusted him )

Then you have to rest. If you can help him- you need to rest.

[ He nods wearily. He's no help to anyone like this, half delirious from pain and foreign trauma. ]

I'm afraid I'm not going anywhere for a while.

Good.

( Not good, but at least Charles has admitted that he won't be going anywhere - won't be trying to go anywhere. At least they won't be fighting to make him stay and rest )

Is there anything I can do?

[ He sighs. ]

No, though I appreciate the offer. There's very little anyone can do. But thank you, Moira.

I'll be here in case that changes.

( She'll be there as long as she can be - until she's thrown out or things become uncomfortable )

You can stay for as long as you like.

[ And if anyone says one bad word - Charles will eviscerate them. ]

[ He nods, before hissing at the movement. ]
